As a young lad, I slept many a night with the M-16a1. Today, I have that in a more modern version and I also have the AR-10.

I once carried the M-60 MG. I forgot just how loud that was, and when I fired my AR-10, it brought back memories.

I got myself this a few years back. Saved my pennies to get it tricked out the way I wanted. Crimson scope, bipod, 45 degree side mounted fiber optic sights, flashlight, and the sling. To have to carry. I am really looking forward to getting the hang of long range shooting. More to learn...

I am old school. 22 magnum for range time, mostly. M1911a1 for EDC while the Operator the home. If I "see" the rifleman shooting, than I may get a lucky shot. Outside of that, I will find cover.

Common sense, which is not that common anymore.

Way back in the early 70's, I took high school Army ROTC. I was introduced to the M-14 back then. Later I joined the Army, had a very Intimate relationship with the M-16a1 for years. Few years back, I saw the AR-10. Needless to say that brought back memories. So I got the St. Victor AR-10.

This is really true because I will be out and about, seeing people with headphones on, head down while looking at the phone while walking alone. I guess that statement about 98% of the population are sheep.

The sad tale of Task Force Smith is a cautionary tale for those that fail to heed the lessons of the past. Trading lives for time was tolerable for earlier conflicts in the 19th, and early 20th century.

I conceal carry my 1911a1 in a leather holster. I wear very large, loose fitting tops. Since people say I look like a linebacker, it works for me. I will admit it take a few times to get the belt and holster to work. But nobody notices it on my side.

In Jr. high school, we had an after school model rocket club. I remember that some of the guys would buy this model rocket kit. It seems to have had a bulbous top. Talk about going down memory lane on this one.
