    XDm For USPSA Use

Mag extensions for Limited. Trigger job or kit if you want (stock trigger is pretty good, the powder river kit is great). Good holster setup, and lots of ammo. Anything else is good, but these are where your money should be focused.

    Your first Springfield......

My first “mine” SA was an M6 Scout, stainless .22 Hornet/.410. Still have it and shoot it.

    new AR shoots right

4 inches is not all that much to be off prior sighting in. I’ve had scopes I’ve swapped from gun to gun, going from zeroed to a foot off the paper. 4 inches @ 100yds (4 MOA, rounding) = 1/15 of one degree off perfect alignment (I think, was never good at maths). So somewhere between your eye...

    Shoulder holster please

HA can't argue with that. Buying more guns is always a good option!

    Will Smith Gun Saftey

Hate him or love him, it is pretty cool to see that. Even if you hate guns to the core, you should know basic safety and handling... but no one here needs to be told this... I mean, I have almost solely used a car to travel in and around town my whole life (Arizona is hot and spread out, not a...

    Your favorite equipment manufacturer

While I can't say I have used many maker's reloaders (and I am sure many make fine loaders), I have been extremely pleased with my 4 Dillon machines I have owned (and others I've used). I have used dies and other tools form pretty much all the makers, and my general feeling in the industry is...

    Car Break Ins

I usually don't have a 'leave in car' gun. If I HAD to do it, it wouldn't be my prized possession pistol. While losing ANY gun would suck and be a humongous pain in the neck, I'd rather get a beater/user stolen than my favorites...

How much spare ammo do you all carry?

As most people have said: 2 spare mags on the person, and usually a few more in my car/backpack.

Type of holster you use for EDC

A version of the Summer Special by various makers (Milt Sparks, 5 Shot Leather, Rafter-L). A Milt Sparks Versa Max 2 for my XDs for super low profile carry.

    Shoulder holster please

I always see it as, I'm going to spent A LOT more time with my gun on my person holstered than I will shooting it. Same argument I use when people compare expensive knives to guns; "for that much money, I could buy a gun instead". True, but I open a lot of boxes and cut a lot of threads off...

    Tips, Tricks & Gadgets

+1 on the Zip Ties. in a pinch (or in bulk), awesome use. For those that do gun photography a fair bit, and have dedicated setups or do shoots including mags and ammo, shoving an earplug in the chamber will prevent an accidental load. If you were to rack the slide, the round gets hung up on...

What knives do you daily carry?

So many. It's my day job and my hobby. My go-to's always include offerings from Chris Reeve Knives, Strider Knives, and Rick Hinderer Knives, but I am known to carry some Emerson's, Spyderco's, one-off custom makers and the occasional SAK.
