As you can see the way the plate attaches, it must go up in front pivoting at the rear sight. So I hit the rear sight with a rubber mallet with strikes parallel to the slide.
When I installed the RMR optic plate it also went on very tight and had to be hammered down. I'm sure it will need heat...
I have both a 4.25" and a 5" Prodigy. I heard that the latest copies shipping now have a few revisions.
Does anyone know how to decipher the serial number and what changes that SA has made to the Prodigy.
BTW, both of my Prodigies needed work. The 5" was really bad, 2 malfunctions on every...
I have the same problem on Prodigy 5". I have a pretty good heat gun with controllable temp from 80F to 900F.
I will try the heat method. Although it seems counter intuitive. Won't heating the plate make it enlarge and be stuck more firmly. Seems like the slide should be heated and the plate...
Come on guys? The original question was asking about the Prodigy optic plate price increase, how does "my Canik came with 5 plates" or "my Q5 came with 3 or 4" help the original poster?
Does anyone have an answer as to why the Prodigy optic plate prices have more than doubled?
Thanks,
Victor
Exactly! I was about to ask this same question. W** happened?
I just registered a 4.25" prodigy and got the 15% off coupon from the $60 price and just got in under the wire to order the DPP plate for a total of $51. Now they more than doubled in price? I guess they are trying to recoup all the...
Thank you sir. I just took it to the range for the first time and was quite pleased with the accuracy, especially for a new firearm and using iron sights. I also shot an HK P30L and at 10 yards I had better accuracy out of the SA 10mm, than out of the John Wick gun!
I just took the cover off the red dot cutout and now I understand why adapters must be used.
There are some mechanical protrusions into the red dot cutout and I don't think there is a red dot out there that would fit (without adapters) unless it was specifically designed for this gun.
Thanks...
Agreed on that. In a case like that I would put on suppressor height sights if I wanted to maintain co-witness.
ok, is there any red dot that will fit without an adapter plate?
Thanks,
Victor
You must be talking about this deal:
https://www.ospplate.com/#oSNValidation
I will probably do it and get the Leupold Delta Point Pro adapter.
I do wish the XD(M) 10mm had a native cutout for at some particular red dot. I personally don't like adding adapter plates between the firearm and the...
Thanks, I will take a look at it for the 10mm.
I currently have the Swampfox on my Hellcat RDP and not happy with it.
It's actually not bad, but does not allow co-witness with the iron sights.
Hello everyone,
I am an avid collector of mostly Sigs, but I do have a SA Hellcat RDP OSP.
The RDP is actually my carry firearm. Anyways the reason for this post is Sportsmans had a sale on
the XD-M® ELITE 3.8″ COMPACT OSP™ 10MM for over $100 off MSRP ($50 sale and $50 for getting their CC).
I...
