So, where to carry in a vehicle? I can't imagine being able to draw from appendix in my sedan. The article shows a revese mounted holster mounted on the door. Is that the way to go? I am right handed in left hand drive country. TIA
Got it. I remember that video. I thought it was about the dropping the slide debate not dry fire.
I tested my gauge against a kitchen scale and they match.
HOWEVER, the 3.1 lb trigger I reported was a MISTAKE. I was reading the wrong side of the scale (the color scheme and shiny coating...
Right, in that video he disassembles it and does some honing. In the video I posted, he claims to have lowered it by putting pressure on the hammer while dry firing it (a couple of times) which is maybe accelerating the "break-in" between internal trigger parts. Not sure.
I got a Lyman analog...
I have no desire to work on my gun. I've seen GunBlue do a trigger job on that Colt he has with the stones and all. But in the video I posted above, he manipulates the hammer and trigger in such a way that he claims lowers the pull weight 1/4 to 1/2 a pound. It's at 16:34 in the video I linked...
Great. Thanks all. I thought it should have a great trigger so was a little disappointed. I bought a trigger gauge to see how it breaks in.
It came well lubed so I shot it as is. I've since cleaned it and used mil-comm tw25b grease using technique I saw in a Bill Wilson video. Haven't shot it yet.
Having become proficient with an Equalizer for EDC, I shot a full size Kimber Stainless II and was instantly better. I wanted to move to an officer 1911 and chose the Ronin EMP 3. I know it's not going to shoot like a full size but after the first 100 rounds, I expected better. I am finding the...
I shot it for the first time yesterday. Is the idea that instead of cueing off the white dots for adjusting aim, you are looking at how much of the front sight is not a circle (eg it's covered by one of the 3 edges of the rear sight)? But if the front sight is a full circle, you are either on...
Yeah, I've always wondered why. Trying to aim, maybe under stress and the primary tool for aiming is playing hide and seek with every dark thing in sight. Why do you like them?
