  • Can someone settle this for me? I have an E. German Makarov made in 1960 and the grips are brownish-red bakelite with the Russian red star. I've seen quite a number of these with the same grips, and have read that some of the Russian grips came with them from Germany. Mostly, I read that they all had black plastic checkered grips without the thumb rest.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks!

I purchased the Echelon 4.0c California compliant. I purchased the Icarus ACE X . After 5 hours I got the COG into the Icarus BUT I slide a 10 rd Magazine in and THEN it happened I lost all tension in the mag Release Button. Does anyone l know or can suggest to this Old Army Vet, what Magazine Release and New spring that holds the Release button in the hand Piece?

I have three from the top down East German, Russian, and Bulgarian, The grips are a toss up. I THINK the East German ones are original, maybe the Bulgarian, and definitely not on the Russian,
