People in my lab work on fusarium, a toxin producing fungus. It can devastate 1000’s of acres of wheat in no time flat. Another problem is that there is an “acceptable level” of fusarium that can be found on grains that go to make cereal products. Too much and people and livestock will get sick...

Yup. They’ve been doing it for a while now. A lot of data burying during covid too. I remember when a CDC job was well-respected in the science community. I wouldn’t work for them no matter how much the salary.
