Sorry, wrong upload. Stand By. Computers fight me at every turn.

There is still a Mugs Up in Columbia. Chili buns were 40 cents when I was in college. They are still in KC as well. Guaranteed to generate enough gas to drive to Pittsburg.

I have noticed a lot of crossover between guitar guys and gun guys.

    Got My First Shotgun

The Remington 870 was a great design and the Police standard for decades. But in the last ten or fifteen years fell into the trap of making it cheaper, thinking that was a viable marketing strategy. The race to the bottom never is. Firearms are special. They are handed down from generation to...

Congressional Dems: ‘No Need To Protect Second Amendment’

I liked what KillerFord said, but in truth I hate it. Because he is right. The right needs to understand they have the power...and always have. They have willingly capitulated to the left because they are loud and blustery. Now that the Media is no longer just a vehicle for the crazy left and we...

Fifth Circuit Gives Trump Opportunity to Act on Suppressors

In Europe apparently it is bad manners to shoot without one. Disturbs the neighbors don't you know, since they are all crammed into tiny spaces. I am quite confident if they had been available to me as a younger man, my hearing would be WAY better than it is now. I personally blame Hollywood...

Is It Bad to Store Magazines Fully Loaded?

With modern wire the mag springs are much less likely to "take a set". When I sold my Country Bunker to move into town when I got married (Don't start. I had steel hanging year round and could shoot off my back deck. I should have just kept the house as a clubhouse and charged my buddies rent...

    Feeling nostalgic

And as an aside, I am shocked how much time I spend every day being nostalgic. From what I drive to what I take to the range, I am stuck in the 60's with a dose of the 50's even though I was not alive then.

Der Wienerschnitzel here. You always had enough money to take a girl on a date there. And before I was old enough to drive, we would take the city bus downtown from the suburbs. Holy cow. Can you imagine doing that today with your kids? The Department of Family Service would be on you for child...

What If the M16 Rifle Never Existed?

Interesting question. Dabbs is always a good read...he reminds me of, well, me. A professional small boy. Anyway, this is an interesting campfire question, a much needed respite from "45 vs 9mm" or "if you could only have one gun". If a fella could only have one rifle, a .308 M1A would be a...

    Bullitt today at 5:45 PM

Good eye. I was just out of college and I didn't have any adult supervision, so I was indulging myself with cars. That is a 66 Notchback Mustang in front of the 67. Good times. Which I am still reliving today! Some things a fella never outgrows. I was a motorcyclist for 30 accident free years...

    40 cal magazine

Thanks Hans! I have never owned a .40 and I learned something today. It is my goal to learn at least one thing a day, and since it is 8:06 in Missouri and I have already met my goal, I am going back to bed!

Notice the Dodge wheels on the 67 Mustang. I was restoring a 1971 Dodge Challenger convertible with a 383 Slap Stick and the wheels were done so I put them on the Mustang. I love Mopars as well. I am easy to get along with!

    RIP John Taffin

He didn't shoot with his keyboard like a lot of internet experts either. He shot and posted his handload data and later in life suffered the arthritis in his hands that plagues all high volume shooters. Some mornings I can barely move my right thumb and I am only 60. But Taffin was the real deal.

    Bullitt today at 5:45 PM

I spent a portion of my misspent youth trying to be Steve McQueen in a 67 Fastback Mustang with a 289 and a three at the knee manual transmission. Good clean fun!

    RIP John Taffin

He was a good man. A strong family man. My interactions with him were limited to trade shows, but you can spot a phoney a mile away. He was one of the good ones. RIP John.

    40 cal magazine

I would think the lips would be too wide to hold 9 mm rounds. The .40 mags can also be used with .357 Sig ammunition, but I don't think it will hold the 9mm. I say this without a .40 to try this with.

    Yo Cretins

Oh, I almost forgot. When I got married 13 years ago, my groomsmen's gift was a vintage high quality straight razor.
