Taking advantage of moving some things to new racks in the safe today. Several pics incoming.
First, a Dan Wesson Valor. But now just any DW... a bull barrel DW. Limited production run.
That's for steel challenge - USPSA divisions are similar. Same member number for both. You're correct, no power factor for steel challenge.
.57 seconds from A now. 74.58%. I took off seven tenths of a second today. I can feel it - maybe Thursday.
It's an edge case, but apparently tolerances and tolerance stacking can play a part, along with abnormal wear patterns, especially with one of the springs being prone to working loose. It's not an "every gun" thing, it's a "well used, often jostled" gun thing.
Warwick Tactical HexHive grip that will go on a Prodigy. My second Warwick grip, the first being their model 1.5 (no longer sold) on a different Prodigy.
Yes. Adding a Cheely steel grip to my Staccato P made it a 52 ounce gun with much more weight in the back. The recoil impulse is completely different now both in terms of strength and direction.
Great for competition, but I'd never do this for carry. Example: My Prodigies (used before I got my...
My Prodigy 3.5 jumped right into the carry rotation after function testing. 200 rounds of random 9mm, a hundred more of standard commerical rounds, and bob's your uncle. Very surprised at how great it felt for a small gun.
I can't speak to their HC parts (I'm sure someone here can), but their parts for other guns I've used them in - especially the Taurus TX22 - have all worked exactly as expected and brought performance / function gains with them. In terms of gain of function, they're the Wuhan lab of gun parts.
Worst trigger on an OEM firearm I've ever felt - it's not you. You can upgrade the trigger, or you can get a different gun. A different gun will make the most difference (and it's strange, SA makes some REALLY good striker fired triggers... just not on the HC).
I got to hold one of the hard chromed full steel Canik's at my LGS recently - I was impressed. Add to that the in-market and aftermarket support for the gun and its track record on the competitive scene and it's a solid option.
