Wow Bella! That was a monster! It is indeed good that you had the skid steer and chainsaw with you or on the property somewhere. Cutting and moving that tiny little thing by hand would have taken a while!

I agree with the Maglula Uplula even though it is not a Springfield product. I have had one for a while now and it is a thumb saver! Plus, you can get even a new magazine completely full even if you have a touch (or more) of arthritis in your hands.

Local stores have a hard time making it these days competing with online retailers. While the mass of regulations put out by the current and past federal administrations are a factor for sure, mom and pop stores have to be patronized to stay in business.

I have watched lots of YouTube folks press the mag release and drop the mag on the ground. Not me. The metal is pretty thin and could be fairly easily damaged if it hits just right. For me, it is a way too critical component to mistreated.
