It looks like a crack but it may not be. SA uses MIM parts in their 1911/2011 pistols. That could be a casting flaw since many SA owners have reported a 'crack' in that same place. SA should replace it, but waiting is frustrating. You might check with Wilson or Harrison for replacement...
