I’ll be late on this and say 10MM is preferred but will use 9MM or soon to be .40.

It’s been a while since I looked. Things might have changed since I looked. The only reason I would get an out of state CCL is if I was going into a state that doesn’t recognize mine like Pennsylvania.

I did and was for Illinois 16 hours. It’s not weird if the instructor is qualified for the state. I was thinking about getting an Arizona CCL after getting my Illinois CCL.

I got a few I change in between about 4 different arms I change in between. 2 with optics and 2 without optics. All 4 have streamlight lights.

Odd part is I took the classes in Iowa. I refuse to head east (towards Chicago) because the laws get stupid.

I’m use to the .40 taking the 9MM frame and the 10MM taking the .45 frame. I’m not sure if Glock thought of something and go with it.

Lesson learned

Since I’m in the great Soviet Block of Illinois. I went with a hybrid IWB. I know it’s probably petty but the wait period has been over a month. Normally I go to C&G but yeah.

I tried looking at a lot of other holsters but finding a Gen 5 Glock 23 isn’t as easy to find since they went away from the G17/19 frame.

When I qualified for my CCL in Illinois. I had to have iron sights. I’m thinking it’ll be the same when I qualify again in 4 years

it seems like everything is made some where or controlled by an outside of the USA. I could go into a rant but I’ll stay away from the personal beliefs of politics and culture.
