    SA35 in .38 Super?

I don’t like .40 cartridge and don’t like the way the.40 BHP handles with the heavier slide. However, I will say I think Browning is one of the very few makers who got the .40 right. My BHP may handle like a pig, but it is the most accurate .40 I’ve owned. When the .40 was popular, I tried...

    2025 targets

New guns? Brand new? -S&W 632UC or 432UC. I got a 642UC last year, then a .32 Mag 431PD, so I hit all around. -Sig P365 Fuse. I will red dot it, but keep going back and forth on whether to get it with the Sig sight or without and put a Trijicon on. -I will be watching Lipsey’s to see...

Classic Smith & Wesson No Lock Revolvers

    It’s a good start.

    New Mossy's.

Good idea to match the safety operation of the AR. A lot of officers will only use those two long guns, and the more that can be made the same the better. I just hope the execution is well done. These are the types of adaptions that often fails miserably.

Snubby - why do you Snubby-?

Why? Two main reasons. -My 2nd/3rd gun(s) get carried in places that attract grit/crud/lint like my ankle or pocket. Yes, maintenance gets them clean at the end of the day, but they get plenty scrappy in between cleanings. A revolver deals with this environment well because it’s...

My five favorites: Browning HiPower, Yost Custom SRT Kimber TLE HK P7M8 S&W 65, either the 3” or 4” S&W 642UC S&W 12 (Airweight K-frame) Yes, that’s six, but I don’t care. That’s my defensive carry favorites list. My fun list: High Standard Citation or Trophy High Standard HB S&W 41 S&W...

And the watch collection is getting bigger

Nice GMT-Master. My only Rolex is a GMT. Two tone, with a bronze face. Looks like a brown sugar-cinnamon pop-tart.

The Art of Running a Shotgun

The article covers two huge things about using a shotgun. 1) They don’t spread pellets like many think. 2) Keep it loaded. Unfortunately, the last people who will read it are the ones who should. It’s the same with most helpful and/or mythbusting articles.

    RXM: Ruger/Magpul Collaboration Pistol

Went well. This class usually has the same people every year, but lots of new faces this time. I was wondering how that would work out, but we flew through the material. Good bunch.

    RXM: Ruger/Magpul Collaboration Pistol

I don’t like posting things that aren’t confirmed, but this is getting at least some reluctant head nods of confirmation from those in charge. Apparently Ruger and Magpul have joined forces to make an improved Glock 19-ish pistol. It looks like it may have a swappable Fire Control Unit ala...

What are you doing right now??

Wide awake at 4:30am. I had a low-light/night shoot class last night, so as soon as I woke up, I started thinking about it. Digesting what I learned.

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

Thanks and same to you. Everyone remember there are people out there who still would like to kill us just because we are not them. They would love to ruin one of our traditional holidays. Be watchful.

Marines’ New Sniper Rifle Declared Fully Operational A Year Early

The MRAD may not have a threaded barrel, but it’s retained by a pair of 10-24 screws. So whichever system is used, screws are involved. Although the screws are only loosened and not removed, I’m pretty sure the MRAD screws aren’t captive. I don’t feel the best about that. I don’t see that...
