Classic car enthusiasts step right in

Absolutely, 10 yrs ago I was mildly pursuing a BMW road bike. A bit expensive and a bit too proper for lack of a better term. That last bit was both attractive and repulsive at the same time.

Classic car enthusiasts step right in

Interesting, I told my wife we needed an ice cream truck! The guy that sold it told her to make sure I took her out for ice cream.

Classic car enthusiasts step right in

I’ve always entertained the idea of owning a classic car. I’ve owned 3 Mustangs from ‘67 to ‘95 and a couple Thunderbirds over the years. They were pretty much by necessity drivers. Recently I’ve gone pure classic with no reason but pleasure to get it out. Nothing exotic, but it has the vibe.

    Do I wanna rock 🤘

I’ll give this input. There are times when my Sandman needs quite a bit of cranking to remove. The mount has yet to budge (rock set), not saying my grip is set to foot pounds of torque. I’m happy enough it’s solidly mounted. My thinking was, if OEM decided rockset was needed to mount nothing…

Building or Buying? A Case for the SAINT Edge

I have a Saint Edge pistol. Unsuppressed, it works. Suppressed it works. Any mag, it works. Mag full of every sort of ammo I have made or purchased, it works. That’s the sort of thing that doesn’t make me angry. If I knew where to research or had vast amount of experience, there is no doubt I...

Revisiting an Old Concept: A Common-Cartridge Long Gun and Revolver

I see adding a .41 mag rifle as a better option for my current situation. But I could be quickly talked into a 10mm rifle, and feel it would be better suited to a home defense situation than a .41 would be.

Old Versus New Cartridges: Which Rifle Rounds Are Better?

I wouldn’t trade a 300 WM for a 300 PRC. But, if I were new to western hunting I would get the PRC. I can’t think of a new cartridge that would make me trade out the old standard.

    72 hour wait

Let me guess, you currently own guns that are quite capable of creating mayhem. This one though, this one will take things into its own hands in those first few hours. When I left Illinois, frankly I was under the impression that guns were naughty. Ordinary people should probably leave them...

Doctor FIRED after controversial anti-MAGA Texas flood comments

There are a lot of people who have not been punched in the mouth for running there suck, and it shows.

How Do You Quantify How "Safe" You Are?

This town presents as “sleepy little burg”. But in recent memory we’ve had a little uni bomber wanna be, murdered teenage girl, and a cop shot in the head. 2 houses in rock throwing distance have had drug dealers hauled away. All this and I hear , “damn man why you packin’”? This ain’t South...

Happy Days - The US Congress has passed H.R. 1, which includes provisions impacting the regulation of suppressors, SBRs, and SBSs

I seem to have heard something to that effect. This is no time to let off the gas about getting SCOTUS to clean up every aspect of 2nd Amendment. The apologists will be out 15 minutes after Trump attains lame duck status, trading our rights for cookies from the MSM

Happy Days - The US Congress has passed H.R. 1, which includes provisions impacting the regulation of suppressors, SBRs, and SBSs

I have heard an argument that if the tax can be removed it can just as easily be put back and increased to infinity and beyond. The seal being broken… But somehow if NFA is removed it can’t be put back in play? I didn’t pursue the matter any further.

Belting it Out: Using Your Belt as an Improvised Self-Defense Weapon

Most people, having been on the receiving end of a belt, will have a primordial sense of foreboding when they hear it clearing belt loops. Much like the chack chack of an 870 Rem, the sound is unmistakable.

So... who's getting the man-purse that can be used to shoot AND strangle you?

If you wear girls jeans, running shorts, or sweatpants, yep I guess just like your girlfriend you need a purse. Men’s pants pockets should comfortably hide a full size 1911, 2 cans of fine cut Copenhagen, wallet, keys, AlMar SERE folder, and a cigar lighter, with room for a sap if your...

    Project Farm Knife Comparisons

Farm knife, perfect description of a daily carry knife for me. I’ve tried the Milwaukee Fastback series and they work 75% for me, especially at work. General purpose weekend stuff it’s hard to beat a stockman pattern for me. That Milwaukee clip blade lock back looks interesting, and has very...

Am I the only one full up?

Am I the only one full up?

It’s getting to the point where I might have everything. Leaving the gun store with nothing but unspent money. I’ve bought obscure chambers just to research and search for accessories. Reloading because I got bored with just shooting, Steel target because paper started getting boring. Elk and...
