    Gun and Knife carry

My EDC knife is a CRKT Cruiser On my armor I added this... A Becker Tac-Tool. This must strictly be for emergencies. I haven't used it yet. It's like a pry bar and a short sword had a baby.

I have a never fired, mint P345. That is the best looking of the P-Series.

    Struggling with dots

Well where you dial in your dot will determine when it will send rounds high or low. For an EDC gun I sight in at 10 yards. Then I shoot at the other ranges to see how this is reflected. Also, I would say that from 0 to 10 or even 15 yards... sights are optional. Depending upon your skill...

What have you bought firearms related in the last 48 hours?

I ordered a second Ghost Inc. +4 mag extension for one of my G43x mags. It just looked awkward with the one on my vest.

What have you bought firearms related in the last 48 hours?

I ordered new sights for my CZ P-07. After having it milled and putting a red dot on it, factory sights are not tall enough. I'm hoping that the ones from Dawson are tall enough.

Red dot pistol optics MOA size

I wear bifocals when I shoot. The front iron sight is a touch blurry and my glasses make it crystal clear. With a dot I don't have that need and either size seems to work. However, I personally prefer the smaller dot. I just feel that when qualifying at ranges over 20 yards the smaller dot...

"The Curse of Glock" or "Why I Have Moved on, but Cannot Fully Sever that Relationship"

I started my LEO career in 1999 with the an issued 5906 too. That gun was good. When we transitioned to the 5906TSW, that is the gun that I liked most. I didn't get forcefully introduced to Glock until 11 years later, at my 2nd agency with a Gen 3 23. Shortly aftet this my Glock collection blew...

    Did someone say Buick?

Yah, I'm not worried about looking period correct. I understand it, but I have a 4-door land yaht. Kind of. My car's only claim to faim is that it is the exact same make, model and color as the one used on the Dragnet TV series. Which is kind of cool. I need rims and caps to make it look...

    I think I might have a problem...

Yes. Yes it is. I found out that Smith did something better than Glock. Only this one thing though. Otherwise, since they stopped their Gen 3 production almost everything is lacking.... Oh. Sorry. On a tangent there for a moment. So, like mentioned, I found out (this may not be true and is only...

My Wife bought me a Pistol

I think I like Taurus the way some people like Hi-Point. I have a TH9c and really like it. I would like it more if I could put a red dot on it without taking out the rear sight for it. Good shooter, accurate, has been reliable. Easy to shoot.

    Did someone say Buick?

I go off on my wife's Buick all the time. Once here. Not a fan of the new stuff, but that goes for almost all of the new stuff. Even my new(ish) explorer has electrical gremlins that Ford won't admit to being a known repeat problem. My best vehicle that is less than 20 years old, a Dodge...

Don’t Let Magazine Limits Undermine Your Defense

Caliber or capacity. I feel fine running a 5 shot snubby in .38/.357 with a speed strip, or a micro 9 running 11+1 and 15 as a spare. Shoot, if I'm in sweats it may even be a 10 shot .22 semi automatic that makes the snubby seem big with another 10that hopefully hasn't been lost in the couch...

Can a SOCOM 16 Stop a Bear Attack?

The only items I have currently that I would take with me are: Mosin Nagant. I figure that if nothing else I can hike with bayonet attached and brace for impact. After that is my AR-10 in .308. then I have a Maverick 88 in 12 gauge. Between the three the AR-10 is heaviest so I may choose that...
