I know a couple if people who have the tisas 1911a1 and have nothing but great things to say about. Personally, i have the tisas stingray in 9mm and it is a fine shooter.

Welcome to the forum from NJ. Regarding your 1911. Strip it. Clean it. Lube it. Shoot it with 230g ball ammo. My SA mags run fine but i like the Wilson 8 rd mags better. Easier to load and 8rds of 45 is better than 7.
