The 20th Century Called - They Want Their Guns Back

I always thought the 3913 was a great gun. A few years ago I walked into Glockmeister in Mesa, AZ and they had this one in the case. I glanced at it and thought the tag said $550. Asked to take a look at it and it was marked $250. I immediately left, got the cash and came back for it. As you...

An American classic - Smith & Wesson 39 - First Gen. Auto

When I turned 21 in 1985, I really wanted a model 469 as my 1st handgun. My father steered me to get something with at least a 4" barrel (and revolvers were cheaper back then) - I bought a S&W Model 66-2 4" stainless 357.

An American classic - Smith & Wesson 39 - First Gen. Auto

An American classic - Smith & Wesson 39 - First Gen. Auto - (Show & Tell Thursday) Design relied on several features of the Walther P38. Initially developed in the mid-1950's for the U.S. Military pistol trials. Introduced to the civilian market in 1955. 4" barrel; 8 round capacity...

    New Sig P365

I think all the issues with the original P365s have been long worked out. I really liked the P365 - had one that was made 6 months after they were released on the market. Once they introduced the P365XL, I switched to that as my EDC. The P365XL hits the sweet spot for me = grip size and...

Why Every Handgun Owner Should Own a Pistol Caliber Carbine

I'm not going to get into any arguments over the merits of the PCC. All i'm saying is...... I enjoy the crap out of mine. just the history of the MP5 (AP5) and the ease of build for a 9mm AR and the familiarity of the controls. A while lotta fun and I would not want to be shot by one...

    Herrington Arms Compensators, anyone???

Anyone running or have experience with Herrington Arms (HA) Compensators? What handgun are you running one on? Or, have you ran one on? How much of a difference did it make for you? Thanks in advance for the replies. (I ordered one today for a Walther PDP Compact just to see; and am...

    What a idiot

1 - there will always be idiot parents (and children) 2 - I'm not arguing the law here. Mass shooting in schools are tragic and seem to be increasing. Nothing will prevent them all. If the legal age to buy a long gun/shotgun is 18 and a handgun is 21, then If one buys a firearm for someone...

BassCliff deciding on his 1st AR-15, HELP!

I'd go with that Saint Victor in Tungsten grey. (I'm partial to grey though.) For your purpose - I don't see a need to go over the $1100 range. Having said that, the PSA would probably take care of your purposes just as well.

Size Matters - I added over an inch!

They are not bad. I think Magpul are better. I just was not going to swap out the buffer tubes, etc, to change to a different stock. As they had the maxim brace originally when I SBRed them - I just swapped the brace for the stock.

Size Matters - I added over an inch!

In a state of obsessive-compulsion for months, I pored over ballistics charts and graphs comparing 556 velocities through different barrel lengths with different grains of bullets. I read and listened to multiple internet gun experts on the perfect length AR pistol barrel length. After much...

Gun Violence Statistics 2024: A Comprehensive Look at the Data

Your original post - said homicide rates were down regardless of weapon by 21% - with a firearm down 25% " Homicide rates in the United States dropped by 21% from 2022 to 2023, with firearm-related homicides decreasing by 25% during the same period, returning firearm-related homicide rates to...

Walther PDP Compact 5 inch Quick Review

I've built ARs, installed handgun dots, even reset/fixed a trigger bar issue in my P365XL.....but for whatever reason handgun internals/triggers intimidate me. After getting quotes from local gunsmiths for $65 - $154 (plus $11 shop fee), to take out the OEM trigger and install the new Walther...

Walther PDP Compact 5 inch Quick Review

All this gun stuff is mostly personal preference. I bought a PDP Compact almost as soon as they were originally released - mostly due to my experience with the PPS M2 which I still think is a sweet shooter . For striker fired handguns - I've owned Glocks (19s, 43, 43x), Sigs (P320, P365...
