So... who's getting the man-purse that can be used to shoot AND strangle you?

If you wear girls jeans, running shorts, or sweatpants, yep I guess just like your girlfriend you need a purse. Men’s pants pockets should comfortably hide a full size 1911, 2 cans of fine cut Copenhagen, wallet, keys, AlMar SERE folder, and a cigar lighter, with room for a sap if your...

    Project Farm Knife Comparisons

Farm knife, perfect description of a daily carry knife for me. I’ve tried the Milwaukee Fastback series and they work 75% for me, especially at work. General purpose weekend stuff it’s hard to beat a stockman pattern for me. That Milwaukee clip blade lock back looks interesting, and has very...

Am I the only one full up?

The reason I go back fairly often. It’s that, “I’ll be damned” they’ve got one of those back in here items.

Am I the only one full up?

It’s getting to the point where I might have everything. Leaving the gun store with nothing but unspent money. I’ve bought obscure chambers just to research and search for accessories. Reloading because I got bored with just shooting, Steel target because paper started getting boring. Elk and...

I could argue she put the nail there herself.

Help BassCliff Choose Next "One Of Each"

Curiously enough your approach to one of each is quite similar to mine. Anyway, you need a Glock 17.

    The Mighty, Mighty Wrangler

SA rimfire revolver the bottle rocket of firearms. I took that advice in rifle form, purposely getting a bolt action .22 knowing that slowing down has its appeal. “Grandpa, you could load these magazines while Im shooting”. He says this as he’s practicing mag dumps with the 22/45 Ruger...

    is weight of any importance

Carried a P-239 for quite some time, it was what I became comfortable with, wasn’t heavy , it was my brother. I longed to be one of the cool kids, I succumbed to the siren song of the P-365X. Seems my brother got fat over the years, it happened to me too, I’m not holding it against him. A GI...

    Startup Cost for Handloading/Reloading

I reload a bunch of rounds. I have made a conscious decision to not reload 9mm. It’s what I call a finger masher, I reload 32S&W longs, another true finger masher. Cost and availability drive that decision. I use a single stage press, I can’t justify the progressive style.

The mayflys are coming the mayflies

I’ve been there several times, delivering groceries to those very same gas stations. Guy I worked with had to stay in the truck, he threw up soon after getting out. The smell is, sublime, the streets are slick as a gut under street lights. A regular zombie apocalypse event of the bug world.

Beyond .45 ACP: Exploring 9mm and Other Calibers for the 1911

I’ve got a 10mm GI Model. The weight goes a long way in mitigating the recoil, if in fact the 10mm is hard recoiling. It might be worse than my SP-2340 SIG, might. Let’s say I get a 9mm 1911. Let’s assume it’s a real peach at the range. I’ve already got range peaches, and I won’t carry that...

    300 Blk Out questions

The BO comes in at adequate and if you’re thinking suppressed it’s a pretty good answer. If your on the fence about power might check out the 6mm or 6.5 options (Grendel) or 6ARC. The 6.5G is fairly spicy for a compact light weight option, I like mine.

    Springfield Kuna Review — A Roller-Delayed 9mm

It’s going to be ages before that tax stamp goes away, and I believe it will. When it does go away, pent up demand will suck everything with a female 1/2x28 thread into its vortex. You’ll be paying north of $1500 because that’s all that will be left at the end of the week. Ammo gouging will seem...

Best Zero For Your Red Dot Pistol: 10 vs 15 vs 25

Ruger MKIII 22/45 here. If I eventually reach some sort of muscle (eye) memory as to where that dot goes between holstering and fireing… who am I kidding

    Suppressor reform heads to senate.

I’m a believer in taking what you can get while you can get it. Anyone out there get married on the first date? Or did you have to work your way up to that?

    Bustin caps in high humidity

“Donut of death”, I’m going to steal that. The best description of my shooting I’ve ever heard. I can’t hit the center even on accident!

    Why This Forum?

It comes down to the historical lean I think. The articles that are reprinted here I find interesting. I have a couple Springfield guns, news from them is nice too. Some of these gun forums smell like Axe body spray, full of middle school humor and hormones. I’m tired of that BS.

Alone style …. but with the handgun of your choice?

SP-101 .327Fed and a sack of snake shot loads in the Everglades. Stainless, light weight, and enough horsepower for anything in FL. I’d be inclined to carry a 10mm 1911 in Appalachia , but could easily choose the same SP-101. It would turn on the game potential, deer vs. squirrels.

What have you bought firearms related in the last 48 hours?

The shirt count? Several boxes of .22 Winchester subsonics and a couple hundred 300g .458 cast lead bullets. Decided to use some of my last Trailboss powder for the grandkids entertainment.
