I don't think they're irrelevant, but it is a dated platform to some folks. Some can be found very inexpensively and if you do have one and enjoy it, there is no reason to dump it. Before anyone starts on my dated comment, I do have SAA clones and 1911s among others.

I try to use a glove like a doctor office glove or your fingers will get dirty. I also use a nail brush if I don't.

I've used a variety of suppliers, but have gone to cheaper moly coated bullets lately from Bear Creek. For .45 ACP, their RN 230 grainers are pretty good.
