I do not disagree…. It should absolutely be an accessory. I don’t register hollow point ammo when I buy it. Point being, there’s compromises to be made. From government AND public perspective… what’s an easier path to start down? Remove the $200 tax and include some kind of enforcement… then...

I don’t think the $200 is what is keeping the surge back, it’s the wait time AND 200. I think once they remove the fee, and I also feel they will, you’re still stuck with the same wait time/approval process. IF they waive the tax AND make buying a supressor fall under the same background check...
