What are $1500-$2400 lever action rifles being used for and do that other platforms can't? What am I missing? Just seems like a small niche "just because I have extra money and I have a lever action fetish" firearm.

I got other things wrong, but they aren't likely to kill me at any given moment in time.

My Bday was on the 17th, so it just past. Seems like a lot of Spring conceptions. I have two children born Nov 28th and 29th and a son born Jan 7th. I'm pushing 50, but I've lived most of my life with staged 2 or 3 hypertension. Hopefully I'll reach 70 like the rest of you.

I agree. It's a clothing line. S&W released the Equalizer, Shield Plus, and their PCC and bullpup shotgun all without any of this silly marketing shenanigans. Everything leads me to believe it's clothing. I'm waiting with a bag of popcorn for the backlash lol

It's not a shotgun, as one picture has what looks like handgun (revolver) rounds. It's either a SAO revolver or a lever action rifle. The cowboy, revolver ammo, wilderness pics, that's the only thing that fits.

I wasn't aware that recoil was an issue especially with 9mm out of a full size 9mm or 45acp handgun. It doesn't seem like the primary buyers of these calibers are recoil sensitive either. Most of the people who I see talking about these calibers own dozens of 9mm's, 45acp's, ARs, shotguns...

What's the purpose though. I'm trying to understand. What is a .22TCM, 5.7X28mm, etc going to kill that a regular 9mm or the like can't equally stop and/or kill for less? Plus, the only time ot makes since to use a 5" or longer firearm is for home defense, hunting, or defense against 4 legged...

Seems like every Well I stand corrected. I've never heard of it and I'll guarantee you that most others never heard of the round until FN introduced their (expensive) offering a few years back. At that point, many started jumping on the bandwagon.

I'm saying these new latest and greatest calibers (fads) are mostly gimmicks to sell more guns and to solve problems that don't really exist. They aren't going to stand the test of time just like many of the old flavors of the month before them IMHO.

I am unfazed by these new calibers that get released as a way to get people to spend more money on a new gun. They are solutions to problems no one knew they had prior to their introduction. Everyone would have lived and gotten by just fine if some of these calibers never existed (30 Super Carry...
