Sounds like it’s a Ford or they are at least using their engines. 6.7 power stroke or 3.5 twin turbo (eco boost). John Deere couldn’t come up with their own Diesel engine to use?

Let’s hope. The only way I’ll ever have one is if I can walk into a store or shop, pick one off the shelf and pay and walk out with it. Or order it online and have it simply shipped to my door. I will not jump through their hoops just to put a muffler on my gun.

I wish Springfield would bring out the original XD model in 10mm. Make it in the 4” and 5” tactical.

If you want the factory milled replacement slide. Yes, they only come in 9mm.

Looks like carbon/lead buildup. Might take more than some solvent and a patch. You may need to get something like some copper Chore Boy pot scrubbers and put some around an old brush or tight fitting patch and scrub it.

Flat bottom f.p.s. Can affect slide velocity. You may need a lighter recoil spring to get reliable function. Unless you are shooting hot loads.

One example of where one could say more ft/lbs really matters with handgun bullets would be when using heavy flat nose hard cast bullets for bear/dangerous game defense. All that really matters here is maximum penetration so obviously more velocity/energy the deeper the bullet should penetrate...
