    Video games….do you partake….

In the mid-70s, When the Atari games appeared, I spent a lot of time with them. Along with the soap operas. Worked mid-PM watch, 7-3:30 AM. Went through a divorce, pretty much stopped the games. Occasionally play Shrapnel games, but too many other things to do at 80 years.

    Backcountry Hiking Survival Guide

I am trying to complete the Camino de Santiago…have 60+ miles to go. At 80, the hills get steeper…but I have o complete it. Not backcountry hiking, but at 80, it gets more difficult. I remember my youth when 12 miles a day was nothing. Nowadays, not so much. Not much needed in the way of...

    Cut Your Reaction Time

Did your last the one time I was in an officer involved shooting. Saw the suspect get out of his car. See me, then his hand went to his waistband and brought up a shiny object, later ID’d as a Bryco. Without conscious thought, my hand had gone to my holster and drawn my 5904. Amazing stuff...

    Charlie Kirk shot at gathering.

As a former Marine officer, I find this reprehensible. DEI at its best.

What are you doing right now??

Not right now, but this morning, I was the church elder tasked to conduct the Sunday service. If any are interested to see the old man, it was taped at Trinity Lutheran in Cedar City, UT. Warning it contains a eulogy to Charlie Kirk, libs might find it upsetting…Semper Fi.

Classic car enthusiasts step right in

Always lusted for a 62 Vette…had a 57 and 59. 57 had a 265, and the 59 a 283. Drove the latter back and forth from Phoenix to Quantico and back. Then Phoenix to Ft. Sill, then on to Pendleton. Frayed it for a Jeep Gladiator…stupid decision. Along the way drove a Porsche 365 C ragtop, a...

always gotta be some bleeding hearts on the left.

Excuse me…I am bad with names. Last month, black kid knifes white kid, killing him. His family “needs” another million and a half to defend him! IIRC, their last money grab went to a new house…

President says they have suspect in custody

8mm/06 is not a common caliber…had one but sold it. It was fairly available in the 60s, along with the7.7/06 Jap. But I doubt that more than a few hundred are still operational. More likely, it is a commercial 98 action in 06. The news has no concept of firearm calibers…

    Are we alone?

OK…my imput…in the Nam, we had a Rocket Squad attached to Fox/2/1. The 3.5s constantly bounced off targets if not hit straight on. I have no idea what Hellfires are like, way past my time in service. But could that be the problem…do they need a direct, no5 glancing, hit…enquiring minds want...

In a World of Compacts, Is it Bad my EDC is a Full Size?

Similar to you… 6-6, 225 now, after hip surgery. Takes a lot to get me inebriated…tend to use loose untucked shirts and shoulder rigs. At our size, most folks tend to not look at us, IMO.

    Freedom of choice or tryanny?

Any consolation, I am a Marine Nam vet, 100% disabled, 80 years old. Do me a favor, take your pension, get whatever else you can and live life the best you can, for those Leathernecks who came before.
