I have 4 Ultra size 1911's and all of them will feed hollow points.I would try a Wilson Combat 47OXY. If it cycles with FMJ reliably there should be no reason it will not in hollow points.

What I do not understand-during a defensive battle is not the pistol already loaded and in play-if out of ammo does a person not reload and use slide (stop-release-lock)to shut the slide on a new round-so how often would a person need to rack the slide as opposed to release.

Here also in Tennessee the Castle Doctrine as of a couple years ago was written to cover a persons car.
