most use the 100 yard as a common factor to make info equal. so, 3.5 should be 3.5" @ 100 yards and as you stated @ 50 yards it should be 1.75". this is just how the manufacturers are

The dryer took a :poop: on Thursday as the washer is still working. So doing split loads between home and SILA's house in town. Doing a long washer at home while doing shorter washes in towns like having 2 dryers. Tuesday at the earliest on it being fixed.
