    Derya Arms

Average monthly wage in Turkey is $600-$650. Add CNC Machining to that fact and you get a recipe for surprising quality at a very low price. I have been surprised by the Turkish delights that we got thru the gun shop I helped out in.

    Hello

Ignore that Hi Point comment...when I first joined, I thought they were serious and just about left because if that was the caliber of firearms they were going to discuss, I figured I had no business here. Welcome aboard!

Adding a revolver to the mix

Went out and looked online and apparently I mis-spoke. The .357 Ruger Redhawk is back. I remember in 84 when they came out, but they were so big and heavy they were dropped. Looks like they are back now with 8 rounds. Johann's is an old six shot model...talk about a massive .357 Cylinder...

Adding a revolver to the mix

Good friend of mine works for Norma in Sweden. Handguns are apparently hard to get there, so he bought a Ruger Redhawk in .357 Magnum. Very scarce model, but even more durable than the Ruger GP 100 which is generally thought to be the toughest .357 ever built. Talk about overbuilt!

WTF is happening in New York?

That early voting stat is interesting...perhaps like ol' Hilary the media has just been slanting everything to make it look like a slam dunk to keep the turnout low. I can only hope that is the case.....

St. Paul Mayor, Councilors Considering Ban On Many Common Semi-Auto Firearms

I wonder what this legal battle will cost the taxpayers? What a waste.

That another thing! How can the Jewish vote continue to pull the lever for Democrats?

WTF is happening in New York?

Well, if he does win and runs New York into a ditch with his plans, perhaps voters will learn from this. Probably not, but I can dream. Wall Street is already all set to move to Texas. Smart money has already moved out of the State. This will be a real disaster, and the voters are going to...

WTF is happening in New York?

It is because kids today are not educated in actual History as it happened. They are taught that Communism can work, despite its epic failures everywhere it has been tried. Sad. Public schools are a tragedy.

    Range Report: .45 Practice, 10/26/25

Agreed, Papa. I can do things with a 1911 that I cannot duplicate with another handgun

Nimitz has some issues with downed craft in the south china sea

You know, it will never again be the time/budget to make a magnificent fighting lady like this one. We need to keep her and her kin afloat. OK, so what? Drones are the future? Ok, make it drone proof. And understand in the future you still need a ship that can steam over to trouble and offer...

The next generation of AI military defense systems

We laugh, but techoloigy is right. We are inferior and it WILL take us out as such. We are much less clever than we think we are.

Adding a revolver to the mix

As for my Taurus info being out of date, it is true that I have been retired from the industry for 9 years now. I can still name gun writers that won't review a Taurus because of their inability to hold tolerance. But I agree, that info is now 9 years old. However, while a friend was running a...

    Winchester White box

Another fan of Winchester white box, but the hot tip right now is Federal has 45 ACP 230 grain FLATnose ammo on the menu. Way better stopper than traditional hardball, but shoots the same point of impact. Hey, if I am buying 230 grain practice ammo anyway but I can get some that is actually...

PS-Apologies to Basscliff. I referred to him as Bassbob. Bass Cliff is in fact the barometer of deciding who is a Cretin and whom is a Gentleman on this forum.

    Range Report: .45 Practice, 10/26/25

Now that I am older, 60 in the rearview mirror, the 45 has retaken its place on my hip. Lot of reasons for that. Familiar of course, because a 1911 was on my hip until the late 90's when I went Glock with a Trijicon. Couple few years ago the SIG 365 XL took its place due to size, trigger, 1911...
