"Marine Sniper Legend Carlos Hathcock: His Own Words” (1993)

In the late 80's and early 90's I was SWAT commander and our team competed at SWAT Roundup in Orlando every year.. Carlos presented there and I had a few conversations with him. He seemed like a nice fellow with a pleasant demeanor so that you would never guess he was a bad*** killer. I have...

    Stainless Garrison Locked Up

Oil is OK as a lube but it doesn't stay put in the long term the way grease does. T25 grease was developed for the military and it is white so less likely to stain your clothes. But the important thing is some good lube on friction surfaces regardless of your flavor.

SIG SAUER Launches the SIG516 G3

I don't know who you have been talking to but the quality of all my SIGs spanning 30 years has been excellent. As has the quality of my Springfield Armory firearms. And I shoot them, a lot.

Department of war or defense ?

Trump through Hegseth has upset the Generals apple cart. This is a big change to a lot of the brass. So many of them know nothing of combat but want, in the words of Mel Brooks, to protect their phoney baloney jobs. They are preparing to fight a knock down, drag out war with China and the...

    Stainless Garrison Locked Up

I always use grease on the rails of my semi-autos, TW25 to be exact. If the rails are dry with a little crud from firing they can jam up a pistol with tight tolerances. But I am curious about your ammo. Whenever I have encountered a lockup like you described it was an ammo problem.

You are going to love that 1911. They make a fine 1911.

All the P320 "it just went off" is pure out of proportion B.S., they are fine pistols and accurate. Although for resale value you might be better off with the M17 or M18

SIG SAUER Launches the SIG516 G3

I have the 516 Carbon for about 5 years. I shoot long gun left handed and it accommodates me. I have a Trijicon ACOG mounted with an EOTECH mounted at a 45 degree offset. I have been through several high round count instructor courses with it and it is my hog killer. The gun remains...

What are you doing right now??

When I was a kid before we got running water we had an outhouse. My Mom always told my Dad and me to go first in the morning. I figured out she needed someone to warm up the seat.

    Oregon ICE Protests

Clueless sums it up in a word. But I find a bunch of ladies with nothing productive to do doing aerobics out on the street to be entertaining. They should be careful not to step in the poo, though. And the men pictured need to turn in their man cards (if they ever had one).

    Do You Qualify for FIRSTLINE?

I don't have a Firstline dealer in my area either. If you call SA customer service they will put you on to a Firstline dealer. That's how I ended up with South Dakota Arms. They shipped to my LGS and I had it within a week.

    Do You Qualify for FIRSTLINE?

I bought a SA 1911 through the program and saved a good bit of money. I went through South Dakota Arms Co. For the purchase and they are good people to deal with.

    Handgun Magazine Maintenance

I have found that disassembling my magazines about once per year, wipe everything down with a dry cloth, then pull a shop towel through the magazine tube to clear out any debris is sufficient to keep them running. More often if I am in unusually dirty conditions. I wipe the outside down with a...
