https://www.perrysuspenders.com You do have to wear a belt for these, but they work extremely well. I have used them for 10 years or more.

Dangerous Vintage Toys of The Good Old Days

I learned to drive on a 1963 Ford Pick Up with a 4-speed manual transmission when I was six. I was so short I looked over the dash and under the curve of the steering wheel. It was an entirely different world.

Dangerous Vintage Toys of The Good Old Days

I grew up on a farm. You wouldn't believe all the dangerous toys we had: billy goats, angus bulls, several tractors and all the implements, . . . it's a rather long list.

Another Darwin Award - South Africa Edition

Stupid tourist injured or killed by animals is a problem here in the U.S. as well. There have been several incidents in national parks of tourists being injured because they want to get close to the bison. There was a similar incident in one of the Texas state parks. I think it was in Caprock...

Supreme Court UNANIMOUS! Guns Win Big!

I wonder how this will apply to some of the pressures on banks to not do business with firearms manufacturers and sellers. Also, how will this apply to some of the actions by shippers to fail to deliver firearms and ammunition?

    D Day tomorrow June 6

BTW, the National World War II museum in New Orleans is time well spent. It is as good of an example of the curator's art as you will find, and the opening multi-media show is powerful. It is in one of the former Higgins Boat factory buildings where the landing craft for the D-Day invasion were...

    D Day tomorrow June 6

My father was on Omaha with the 1st Division (The Big Red One). He was the only man on his landing craft to survive the battle. He never talked about the war much even though he saw action in North Africa, Sicily/Italy, France, Belgium (The Bulge), Germany, and was in Czechoslovakia on VE Day. I...

    Love me some 22

I love .22 firearms. My Christmas present when I was 12 was a Marlin 29A lever-action rifle. Now, my favorite pistol is my Browning Buckmark. When I go to the range, I shoot about 100 rounds of 9mm--at about 28 cents a round--and then shoot about 200 rounds of .22lr at about 7 cents a round. It...

Battleship New Jersey Leaves Her Pier For First Time In Over 30 Years

The Battleship Texas is undergoing a similar renovation. They have already completed the dry dock portion of the renovation, and are currently completing the work.

    well just wonderful

Look into one of the Linux distros. There is a learning curve, but it will run on almost anything. It is also more stable and secure than either Windows or Mac. While it is not 100% immune to malware, it is certainly much more resistant.

    Bersa 1911s?

My first handgun was a Bersa Thunder .380. I still carry it some, although I usually carry a Shield 9mm. It is a good gun, and if .380 ammo wasn't so expensive, I would shoot it more than I do. It has never given me a single problem, but then neither do my other firearms.

Does Your Doctor Want To Disarm You?

My wife is a doctor, and while she is just fine with guns, a doctor's office is one place they are probably not appropriate. The prostate exam my doctor did on me a year or so ago was difficult enough without having to worry about a S&W hanging from my belt.

    Grabagun.com

I have ordered ammo several times from Grab-A-Gun, and never had a problem. It was shipped and delivered as expected, and the price was right. I have not purchased a firearm from them, but I would probably not buy a gun online from any source. Some things need to be purchased in person. Guns and...

One of the gun ranges in Grand Prairie has one of these types of set ups. It is smaller, but the same principle.

Are There Differences Between Hollow Point and Solid Point Rimfire Cartridges?

My experience with Aguila 22lr has not been good. The failure to fire rate with my Browning Buckmark is about 20% and is even higher in my Ruger SR22.

    Ammo Question

I bought two boxes of .380acp from Target Sports, and have shot about 30 rounds at the range. It was just fine. I did not notice a difference between it and the Federal I had been shooting before opening the box of New Republic.

    Black Rifle Coffee

I drink a lot of coffee; there is a cup on my desk at work all day, and my preference is to make it in an old-style percolator. When I do buy coffee out, I refuse to pay the price of "premium" coffee. Just make it hot and strong. No sugar. No dairy products. The local 7-11 makes good coffee...

My preference is a gas cook top and an electric oven.

warning about Armscor .22 lr ammo

I had a similar problem twice with my Walther PPK/s 22lr. Both times I was using Remington Golden Bullet ammo. Walther repaired the firearm under warranty the first time. After the second time, I did not bother having it repaired. That said, I no longer use Armscor or Aguila ammo because, at...
