For strictly going with blades, not multi-tools or something axe like I would take my Becker Companion II for a big blade (or maybe their Tac-Tool). For a shorter, pocket carry I could go with anything. I have Spyderco, SOG, CRKT...

I used a fat wrench set at 10 lbs. and blue Loctite. I'm probably at around 300 rounds and not issues yet.
