    Five Must-Dos of Home Defense

If intruders enter my shack, they are in for a very unfortunate encounter. As of late, however, perhaps because of my age, I started to worry about stuff that shouldn't even be on my mind. I think this is largely due to the current political environment and where I live. If I had to defend my...

How Cold Weather Makes CCW Harder (Not Easier)

Oh, Oh, Oh! I know this one!! Die? 😂

Can’t even get rid of my Glock 45 MOS with GPT, a Swampfox Liberty II, and optics height sights…

I'd try to sell it on GB. I've purchased a number of items on GB with great success. When I bid, I always figure out the total cost including the FFL on my end. I typically check out prices online and bid $200 to $300 less than buying it elsewhere. If I win it, great. If I don't, I'll keep on...

    Winter Holster

I did find the exact same one on EBAY. It is used and from the pictures, it appears to have the very same issue. I'm not sure of the materials. Something leather like with a soft interior. It looks as though a big piece of something much like the fuzzy side of velcro is what actually has the...

    My rotation

All I ever rotate is my ammo. Sometimes I'll carry extra mags with me if I will be in an unsavory area for anything longer than "just passing through." Otherwise I don't see any sense in carrying anything but the tried and true.

    Winter Holster

So my favorite winter holster finally said "No more!" after ~25ish years. The loops that the belt passes through have stretched to the point I'm afraid one or both will give out any second. Bianchi discontinued it many moons ago. Hindsight being what it is, I should've bought 3 of the things to...

    Daffy Zone…..

Funny story about that. I was at Target once and asked a dude that was wearing a red polo shirt where something was. He told me he didn't work there and we both had a chuckle about he choice of attire. But that got me thinking. Guess who sells red polo shirts - you guessed it! Target! So I...

    Oregon ICE Protests

This unfortunately is where I live. The entire purpose of the alphabet mafia performance is so the local news channels can point and say "See? Orange Man is all wrong and is just being mean! Nothing going on here except a peaceful protest!" The Proud Boys rolled into town last night. It was...

    Big gunfight near Topeka

It was a DV call that got me shot.

Post your Saturday night jams ... or your fav music ...

I had an iPOD I used exclusively when I was on the track. I had about 10 songs on it. This song was in the top two that pushed me into "fly low" mode.... I don't particularly care for the song itself but it is motivational while running a buck eighty.

Post your Saturday night jams ... or your fav music ...

Although I'll never "give forgiveness I've withheld", and I'd likely go exact some long overdue revenge, I do try to live by being the friend I'd like to have.

    Ruger/Beretta Hot Takes

I have a 92FS and I have a P90. I love both of them. If one company ends up taking the other over, it won't trouble me at all just so long they continue to manufacture a DA/SA semi-auto that HAS a hammer, de-cocker, and a safety.

    Who would be millionaires?

Ain't that the truth! I once suggested we all list the holsters we have that we don't like and trade to people that might actually like them. That promptly got shut down.

    Who would be millionaires?

I have just enough firearms to defend my shack but a minimum of 1,000 rounds per trigger.

    Who would be millionaires?

I don't have any firearms that collectively are worth much. But if I ever stop buying ammo, Federal will go out of business.

Carrying while fat (how do you do this comfortably?!)

I have the same issue. I carry OWB with a medium sized semi-auto. I wear a tucked in t-shirt to prevent the direct contact with an untucked Carhartt to conceal. It took a few holsters to find the one that positioned the pistol in a comfortable spot.

    Rear sight alignment

I noticed that when I sight in from a bench with a rest, I'm always pretty far off when I practice draw & fire. I end up with a good pattern but I must look through the sights differently. So I sight all of my EDCs in while practicing draw & fire. Now scoped rifles is a different story.
