    Just finished, using Sous Vide, to cook this relatively cheap ($7.49lb)center cut 22oz sirloin steak. Cooked it for four hours to get it to 138 degrees medium. Came out very good, tender & juicy.

    Not too long ago wrote my small town had been lucky to not have protesters on our streets. Well today that has changed 40-50 high schoolers with teachers were protesting ICE. This happened about an hour ago during school hours police were monitoring not letting them block traffic. Sure hope...

    Re-run photo of my 3 1911's. Although have some trouble with iron sights really like the DW Vigil (top) and S&W 1911PD (bottom). The SA 1911 AOS Operator with Holosun EPS dot would be my primary EDC if it weren't so heavy.

    I was the only Curtner that didn't join the Marines. Did 5yrs Army & 4yrs Air Force. Thought about the Navy but figured I could walk further than I could swim.

    As I stated above was unable to focus on the iron front sight. Not trying to say dot optics are for everyone but would bet a lot of older folks with vision problems go the dot route. I don't use irons to find the dot would defeat the purpose. Someone like SimonRL could explain this better...

    Failing eyesight led me to using dot optics. Was having a hard time focusing on the front sight with optics that is no longer a problem. Yeah it took a lot of dry firing practice drawing and acquiring the dot. After several trips to the range have total confidence in dot optics have them on...

    Took a short nap till Super Bowl halftime. Wife said it's been a boring game and commercials aren't very good. Don't think old folks like us are in their target audience. Like Talyn switching back to Olympics.
