Official: Dodge, Jeep, and Ram Are Done...

None of the big 3 are airing super bowl commercials either. Big deal. On my 4th RAM since 06 (06, 08, 15 and 23). Great trucks. I’ll take a Hemi over smaller V6 turbos, etc. To each their own. I’ll take the interior of my Limited to a Platinum or Denali any day of the week. 4 corner air ride...

    1911 Prodigy DS

My story as well. SA took great care of me, sewing machine since. Sold to a friend ONLY because it served me no purpose over a Stacatto P I purchased….thousands of rounds without issue. Truly a great shooter and it was my gateway gun into the 2011 style.

When it comes down to it, what is your "go to" EDC?

C2 for EDC. Range/target my P. I’m all in on the platform.

A protest I can get behind

Nothing like smoking good wings on an egg. I have a Weber kettle grill I light up to finish/crisp up wings once they hit about 140 degrees. If you only smoke wings at 225 to 250 on indirect heat, skin is always a little rubbery…. A good high heat flash finish fixes that :). When we did BBQ...

    Justified??

Living in MI, the only concern I see is…the shooter (according to that news clip) could not see the weapon. Seeing fear in someone else’s eyes is a very, very thin line. That being said, my personal opinon, he did us all a favor and it should be justified. But I’m not a lawyer, politician...

    My new Prodigy

Two piece guide rod, 10-8 performance or EGW slide stop, EGW ignition kit…throw in a Staccato Gen 2 magwell. Nothing wrong with a stock prodigy. It’s even better with a little bit of love. If you’re having fail to feed/fail to eject, send it in for warranty work first. They’ll fix anything that...

New Prodigy 17 Round Mag Issues

My advice, you can go one of two ways. Call SA customer service, in which I had excellent luck when my Prodigy was a jam o matic upon first range trip. OR, call DuraMag, makers of the mag…here: https://dura-mag.com/1911-ds-9mm-mags/

    Supportive Wife, Significant Other

Lucky to also have a wife very supportive of my shooting habits and desires. She likes to shoot with me, though not as often as she’d like.. and she’s a damn good shot (Yes…don’t **** her off is commonly said amongst friends and other shooters while at the range…lol) Just another hobby we...

Sig P226 Legion SAO vs Staccato P (Sept 1, 2023)

I had a Prodigy and currently have a Staccato P. Prodigy was 4.25 and P is 4.4. I really, really liked my Prodigy and put an EGW fire group in it and it really, really shined. Cold hard facts are this, fit and finish of the P is much, much better than the Prodigy. From safety on/off, mag...

New Prodigy 17 Round Mag Issues

Pull the bottom off the 20 and the 17. Make sure the spring is situated correctly in the 17 By comparing to the 20. I had 3 17 round and 3 20 round mags when I had my prodigy.. all fit max capacity. Out of over 5K round count through that pistol, I think I pulled the mags apart and cleaned them...

    Ammo prices

Splitting hairs…. I typically see 50 round boxes from 13.49 to 14.99. Yes, I also know you can search online and get boxes for 13. You can also vary in price for shipping between 20 and 80 bucks. I’ve seen lots of retailers lure you in with a cheap per round price, then jack the shipping way...

    Ammo prices

FYI.. I’ve had good luck purchasing from Sportsman Fufillment, they currently have CCI Blazer 115 and 124 fro 11.49 a box. Their shipping is very reasonable As well…never had an issue with CCI Blazer ammo, I just don‘t think it’s worth the extra 3-4 bucks a box normal price.

    Ammo prices

A few things. Let’s not call Winchester “premium”…lol. Second, re-read my whole post. 17K of ammo in a little less than 2 years. 5-6 bad rounds. No squibs. You all talk about reloading your own, great. What’s the initial start up cost for that equipment? And…time.. you may have time to sit...

    Ammo prices

I know I’m gonna get poo poo’d here, but I’ve purchased 17K rounds in less than 2 years from Ammunition planet, 124gr 9mm reloads. Out of all those rounds, I’ve had 5-6 bad rounds that didn’t go bang, only one round that had a “lip” on the casing which I found before it went into a mag. Their...

    Prodigy value?

Frankly, spot on. Took a little more off for a buddy AND throwing in a new leather Galco OWB holster as well. Probably give him 100 to 200 rounds of ammo as well. Appreciate all the input…. Between him and his wife shooting it at their property… they’ve had their eye on it for some time.

    Prodigy value?

He'll be getting the buddy discount. Just want to get a base point. He's put a lot of those rounds himself...lol
