I'll stand with you on that. Back in the sixties we had no backup for at least a hour and state police shut down at 2 am. We had no hand held radio,no vest no computers. Instink was your best defense and sometimes that wasn't enough, lost a couple good men back then.
In the last days hunting long ago (40 plus years ago) my hunting rifle for big game ( deer,elk and bear ) was a 25-06 Seiko Finbar and I wish I still had it.
What ever I grab and it goes bang that's the one I like. Only had a couple of high end years ago and traded off (got 2 for one)for what was called middle of the road back then and they do the job for me.
Back when a Deputy got paid less than $200 a month we had very few that failed to follow directions. It is nice to see there are still departments that the officers touch the back or taillight as they walked to driver's window.
Well said and I remember a few incidents way back when I was full time LEO. In today's world it seems that is the goal to push the limit until the line of sanity disappears. Then someone ends up losing a family member.
