    Can you make the shot?

I try to stay proficient and use small targets at a good distance. BUT... Remember the objective is to "Stop the Threat", not to kill anyone. If I were to make a head shot, unless it was unavoidable, I hope I'd be able to convince the DA that my target was lower. I recently renewed a...

For you 1911 guys how many mags do you carry?

Those plastic 9mm's are made for popping caps. The 1911 was made to put a bullet on target. One extra mag should be plenty. When the threat is elevated, i do like to have another 2 mags handy.

First Look: Polished Blued SA-35 9mm

I was glad when I found a sa-35. I hope it's later than the ejecter problem. I refinished mine, it wasn't meant for a holster. The better finish is a needed upgrade.

John Moses Browning born in Ogden, Utah on January 23, 1855

I love JMB. If it wasn't for him, I'd probably be carrying plastic. (I hope to catch him on the other side of eternity.)

    Happy 10/22 day!

The 10-22 was the first rifle that I bought. It has always been my favorite. And after many thousands of rounds and 40 years later, it's still a target gun.

    Walther ppks

I've got the Bersa clone and I'm comfortable to carry it, but I doubt it was made to last like the PPK.

I've got a couple of R1 1911s, from NY and Huntsville. They needed minor tweeking on the break-in, but they are a primary carry now.

U.S. ARMY CELEBRATES 250 YEARS OF SERVICE.

I was glad to watch it. I think it was more of a pep rally than a parade. We need to fly a parade to Iran soon.

    Skinner Sights Continues to Impress

My Henry came with the Skinner's and I didn't like it. I was looking for replacement sights for a while, I finally got used to the peep sight. I think it's a keeper now.

In a World of Compacts, Is it Bad my EDC is a Full Size?

I'm a small guy, I'm most comfortable carrying the 1911. I'm grateful to have a rotation to match the threat, and my shoes. Though the 1911 is heavy, it still sets the standard for perfection to those who want to put a bullet on target. The many that I see that prefer a lighter, more compact...

What currently manufactured gun would you like to see discontinued?

Taurus should be banned from making simi-auto firearms, especially the 1911. I feel sorry for anyone that's betting their life on one.

What have you bought firearms related in the last 48 hours?

I found a deal on 380 ammo at a local sporting store. I'm glad to see it getting back on the shelf, .42rd. My stock was getting low. My mouse guns don't stay in a regular rotation, so I'd like to run a magazine before I carry it.

Show off your Every Day Carry!

The pictures don't seem to do it justice. It is a bit of beauty in plastic. It's also loaded with the bells and whistles.

Show off your Every Day Carry!

I'm not much into plastic, but this one is a pretty good substitute for a 1911. That was about the way it was advertised when it hit the market. Springfield XD-GM, Mod-2, 45cal, made in Croatia.
