    Toddler's close call with coyote

When I was a kid, West Tennessee was prime rabbit and quail country. Lots of people hunted them and it was actually good for the area economy. But around 30 years or so ago, coyotes crossed the Mississippi river. They wiped out the rabbit and quail. Ain't seen either in years. 🤬 There was the...

    Who’s Up for a NEW WILSON - $200 and It’s Yours!

The handle appears to be shaped like a 1911 with 1911 grip panels on it. I'd expect that from Wilson. ;)

    wheel of fortune

I grew up in a camping family and have been camping most of my life. Mostly in tents and cooking on Coleman stoves. After my parents retired, they bought a nice camping trailer and did some traveling. I went with them a couple of times. Nice and easy, but not real camping to me. I've backpacked...

    wheel of fortune

Camping is defined as the art of living comfortably in the outdoors. The key word here is comfortably. The point is to get out and enjoy nature. If you're miserable the whole time, why do it? Look at all the people who camp in trailers and RVs. Couldn't that be considered glamping? At my age and...

    How did COVID change you?

I have COPD. At the very beginning of Covid my Pulmonologist told me straight up, if you get it, it'll very likely kill you. I took the shots, I wore the mask and I played by the rules. I never caught it. Two friends of mine were denyers. They both got it and it killed them both.

    1911 build help

It depends on what you intend to do with it. If you want a truly custom gun, go for it. But be aware that you can very quickly sink more money into it than just going out and buying what you want. In all the years and all the 1911s I've owned, I've only built up a frame once and that was to...

COLT MATTE BLUED PYTHON: ROBUST & RUGGED, BUT STILL A CADILLAC

One of the features of a Python is that deep, high polished blue finish. This ain't it. I have no idea what Colt is trying to do here.

    Custom Grips?

I think you've confused Pachmyer for Hogue. Hogue uses the stirrup mount on their revolver grips. I've never cared much for that either as it adds un-necessary length to the grip. I never liked the feel of their rubber grips at all. However, I am quite fond of the Hogue wood grips for semi-autos.
