Range Report: Advanced Pistol Clinic, 3/16/26

Not sure how I missed this thread first time around, but once again looks like a great time was had! I’m thinking any rounds in the silhouette will likely slow down a bad guy, middle square or not! I’m crossing my fingers that when they get done remodeling our indoor range they will add some...

    Opinions on the Sig P320

At one point in time I owned 4 Sig P365s of various models, 2 P320 Compacts, 1 P320 Carry, and 1 P229 Legion. I never had an issue with any of them and carried the P365s pretty regularly. P320s just seemed a bit big for comfortable carry for me. Then came the beginning of the P320 issues. I...

2026 new legislature year, and more anti 2A laws

I’m guessing that if they’ve gotten recent hires from the same places ICE is getting some of theirs…well, all bets are probably off… I mean, one would think ATF folks could also disassemble a Glock, of all things, for a preplanned propaganda video…

TRP Contour Owners or Those Familiar

Not sure if you’re referring to the AOS model or not, but that’s what I have. I really like it. It’s light, easy to carry, and I find it accurate with the dot I have on it. I don’t regret the purchase one bit and it sits proudly next to my 4.25 AOS Emissary and 4.25 Ed Brown Kobra Carry...

FN Reflex/EPS Carry at the Range - 17 Mar 26

Though it’s not green, I took the Reflex MRD with its newly mounted EPS Carry to the range yesterday. Fortunately, the dot was green, so no pinches from slide or trigger! First target (two bullseye, top first) was pretty much zeroing at 7yds with lots of WAG adjustments to the EPS to finally...

Oldest Self Defense Gun You Would Still Carry?

My oldest gun at the moment is a 2019 WC EDCx9 I ordered new. It’s the one I recently upgraded (pics on here somewhere). I carry it every once in a while. But in reality, if I function check a gun through a few hundred rounds of live fire and it works, it really doesn’t matter to me how old...

    Interesting Analysis of Banned Magazines

Found this interesting as it relates to magazine “limits”, but also this comment - “By taking these steps, leftists intend to make outlaws of ordinary Americans while they are simultaneously setting the real criminals loose on society. Consider a second proposed decree sitting on Mrs...

Diagnosing Inaccuracies: Is It You or Your Gun?

If they arrive with their RDS already zeroed, I’ll agree with you. If they’re “fiddling” with them to zero them, it would seem the appropriate action to take until zeroed. I have yet to have an RDS arrive, get mounted, and be zeroed. Sometimes close.

Diagnosing Inaccuracies: Is It You or Your Gun?

I have to agree 100%. Always me! I have yet to find a gun that hasn’t been an excellent shooter after I put time in behind the trigger, no matter how inefficient I may have been with it to start. Now I DO know I shoot better with an optic than with irons - but that’s any eyesight thing -...

    Guidance on New Gun

I have bought a lot of guns new, including numerous Springfields (including within last year an AOS Emissary and AOS TRP). I can’t tell you if ANY of them ran right out of the box because I ALWAYS take them home, break them down, clean out all the long term storage “lubricants”, clean out any...

    gun insurance company

This is what I do. I have a property policy, along with home and auto. Guns are insured under that. They only questions they ask is make/model/serial #/value - which to me is acceptable, because I can’t think another way for an insurance company to provide coverage to a specific item. I can...
