    The retirement life

I just drop and/or break stuff.

    The retirement life

Exactly! I always compare it to being the guy with a pickup. Another comparison I use is it’s like if you work nights. This is probably the most accurate. Everybody knows, and everybody thinks you’re always available.

    H&K P7

I have two; a PSP and a P7M8. Love em.

A-10 Warthog Appears To Have Become A Drone Killer

The sad truth is it doesn’t fly high and fast, and it doesn’t carry a hundred bombs, so it’s a miracle it ever made it into the inventory. Now, if the Key West agreement didn’t exist, and the army had control of CAS and an appropriate budget… Dare I dream. But it’s old! OK then. Its...

    The retirement life

Enjoy it while it lasts. Once more people are aware of your retirement, the free time dwindles.

SAC Tactical Essential Revolver Skills Course

If he would do something east of the Mississippi I’d try to go. RevolverFest is my best chance.

2 Hours left...How much would you pay for this?

I’m a certified S&W nut and follow numerous S&W and revolver forums and blogs and sites. Still, almost anything they made before around 2000 has been going up faster than I can keep track of. The era that gun falls in (1976) seems to be the hot one now. I’m not sure why, but it is.

2 Hours left...How much would you pay for this?

    $2350 No, not to me.

    Gun Forums of Yore...

I think I remember seeing the name “Nedry” around. Snake45’s passing reminded me of a few forums, but The Gun Zone more than any. I really miss that place. Host Dean Speir ran a TIGHT ship. No riff-raff! He was such a curmudgeon that he rubbed a lot of people the wrong way but I liked him...

For those of us that think it can't happen here.

What scares me more is seeing it so much locally. Our state primary is three weeks away and campaign signs are everywhere. Not to be racist or whatever “-ist” it may be, but it’s hard not to notice: I used to always see names on these signs I recognized and knew well; names of big families...

Is the S&W 396 Night Guard the Ultimate .44 Special Carry Revolver?

When the 696 came out, we were newlyweds and flat broke. They were so damned cool to me that I bought the first one I saw anyway. I was so nervous after that expenditure I came home, went to the bathroom and almost threw up. All these years later, I’m pretty glad I bought it.

    Discuss the SA-35

I’m in love with the Browning HiPower and have been for years. The only autos that come close to fitting my hand as well are the CZ75 and Bren Ten. The shaoe if the BHP is great for concealed carry, as least for me. It blends into my clothing and fat. I was pretty sad when Browning dropped...

Is the S&W 396 Night Guard the Ultimate .44 Special Carry Revolver?

I like it. I don’t like carrying anything larger than an L-frame IWB, and I love the .44 Spl, so there we go.

First M16 Rifles in the Vietnam War

It may have seemed “all of a sudden” but it was a long road to acceptance. And it’s still not there for some. But most of theirs were Mattels, I hear.

    Anyone carry TWO?

That’s what I tell people. If you choose to carry a gun, then carry a gun. And that means it may change your lifestyle. It’s not a decision to be made without a lot of forethought.

    TRIPLE THREAT Shotgun

I think they are utterly ridiculous. Fine. I do kind of want one.
