I need help, HCP EDC missing piece

OP…I agree with others on you should send it in to get it properly repaired - especially in CA. But then again, I have no idea how hard it would be for you to get it back (hoops to jump through, etc.). I do applaud you for realizing it should be corrected based on where you live and the law...

Is the 1911 the "Stick Shift" of EDC?

IS THE 1911 THE “STICK SHIFT” OF EDC? Hell yes! And going back through cars I’ve bought over my lifetime, I’d have selected a manual in most of them given the option at the time I bought them. My (now moved on) 2014 Nissan 370Z was the last manual transmission I’ve owned. I do have a SA...

Virginia “Assault Firearms” Ban Passes Legislature

100% this! It also give the pols who pull these stunts the ability to state things like “I tried to make you and your kids safe, but the “other side” prevented it…you MUST vote for me so I can keep trying!” And of course, they leave out the part about how these constitutionally illegal laws...

Henry Explorer .357 Lever and Marlin SBL 1894 Lever .357 Out of the Box - 13 May 26

This last time, from Freedom Munitions, looks like it was (all rounded up)… .44 a round for the .357 Magnum flat points .56 a round for the .357 Magnum X-Def hollow points .34 a round for the 9mm hollow points Sales tax adds .04 per round, but then all reloading equipment and supplies would be...

Henry Explorer .357 Lever and Marlin SBL 1894 Lever .357 Out of the Box - 13 May 26

I spend enough (some would say way too much) on guns and accessories. I do NOT need to add thousands of dollars of hand-loading equipment and supplies to the list…just ask the wife…

Henry Explorer .357 Lever and Marlin SBL 1894 Lever .357 Out of the Box - 13 May 26

I’m sure a lot of other people are better shots than me as well…especially those with much better eyesight…I don’t take it personally.

Henry Explorer .357 Lever and Marlin SBL 1894 Lever .357 Out of the Box - 13 May 26

The first lever I tried was a Rossi 92 blackout. I disassembled it and quickly decided not for me. It will eventually go back to LGS when I find something else I want. But firing the Rossi did convince me I wanted a lever .357. If I could have gotten the Henry I wanted sooner (constant out...

Henry Explorer .357 Lever and Marlin SBL 1894 Lever .357 Out of the Box - 13 May 26

Thanks. My Hellion is black? 😀 TBH, I like being able to see where I missed cleaning, old eyes and all that, so that Marlin in stainless really called to me.

Henry Explorer .357 Lever and Marlin SBL 1894 Lever .357 Out of the Box - 13 May 26

As long as I can find .357 Magnum similarly priced to .38 Special, I’ll stick with .357. One or other of the manuals (maybe both, or it might have been on one of the sites - Henry/Marlin, they said to use at least 158g and nothing less, to closely match the length of .357.

Henry Explorer .357 Lever and Marlin SBL 1894 Lever .357 Out of the Box - 13 May 26

Decided to put this under guns instead of skills since I was basically comparing these two lever action rifles (and making sure they worked). I ordered both from Tombstone Tactical and picked up the Marlin on 17 April 26 and the Henry this past Monday, 11 May 26, from my LGS, both new. I...

    The Suppressor Boom

Remember, grain weight affects decibels as well. My understanding is that the more you are below 1000 fps (and thus subsonic), the quieter the report will be when suppressed. I’ve only fired 147g 9mm suppressed out of a Kuna, but it was MUCH quieter than 124g 9mm unsuppressed. I had both foam...

    The Suppressor Boom

Ammo is WAY more of the percentage of the price of a gun I buy than $200 will ever be. I figure every time I hit the range I’m going through at least approx $100 in ammo - a lot more if shooting exotics like .32 H&R, .357 Sig (don’t have those two guns any longer), or if I also want to run a...

    The Suppressor Boom

Is it just me, or does it just seem odd that if that many people were interested in a suppressor, $200 should not have prevented them from buying. After all, they’re still filling out the same form and ending up on one of the “lists”. I could say the same of myself, but until I got a Kuna, I...

    Breakfast Cereal to HOT Cars!

Talk about floating over the road…when wife and I were younger with very little $$ (way before military started providing decent compensation to enlisted folks), we relied on used cars. Ended up with a 1971 Olds Ninety Eight that a dealer had just taken in trade, at a price we could afford...

Circle the wagons: There’s a new revolver ridin’ into town.

Don’t know about “big on grit and built for easygoing fun”, but owning a SW Ti 432 I can confirm that it will be expensive fun! Need about a million of you to pick up a .32 H&R firearm so .32 H&R Magnum prices come down to 9mm prices 😀! Shooting .32 SW Long just doesn’t have the same pizzazz!
