I am sorry, but that knife just does not work for me. I really find it to be very inadequate. There are a lot of reasons why that ring poses a hazard to the holder and the grip size is just far too small to work. There are dozens of knives that I would use for self defense above that thing.

I have seen a Ranger cull an African Elephant herd using an FAL in .308. One shot, one Elephant. I am pretty sure it will take down any bear.
