No issues with having a dead battery. FUDDs will refuse to utilize the sight anyway. They will just co-witness it.

I have the Ruger LC Carbine, but mine is in .45. This one stays loaded with the extended Glock magazine (and a couple more loaded magazines for reloads) in my front room closet. I have many other choices to pick from, but this one is my front door greeter if I'm not armed with a pistol.

At the very least, you will have to take things easy for the next few months. No chain sawing, probably no shooting, and for sure no dirty movies! Seriously, do what the saw bones tells you!
