    Cane For Personal Protection

I don't want to say that you shouldn't carry a cane but I'd be very wary of how to deploy it, especially in enclosed spaces like a vehicle or hallway and honestly I'd be afraid of having the cane stripped from me and being beaten with it myself. I think pepper spray is better than a cane in...

Another trip to the range with the HellCat Pro

I'm pretty convinced the BG2.0 is "enough" gun for 99% of people and self defense encounters. I won't **** on anyone for carrying more, I often do but realistically if you need more than 12rds of .380acp and shooting past 7yds you're going to have a real problem justifying self defense. So...

Ayoob: Is the 1911 Wrong for CCW?

Its always a question of how good the holster is, not how big the gun is. But we are gun lovers, not holster lovers.

Yep. I've heard good things too. They're one of the few I would consider installing.

Another trip to the range with the HellCat Pro

I totally understand that. I keep hoping they release 17rd extended mags for the X. That's definitely a benefit in favor of the hellcat. And I wish the CSX-E had a light rail cause I'd have one of them if it did.

Another trip to the range with the HellCat Pro

I have been thoroughly pleased with my Shield X purchase. I briefly considered a Hellcat but the chunky grip didn't really jive with me and M&Ps have always been my first love. The Shield X grip angle is perfect and a Hogue grip makes it comfortable and non-slip. 10/10.

Kuna Competition? Meet the Taurus RPC 9mm PDW

I find the tensioned sling offers like 80% the performance of a brace. Even folded it doubles the thickness of the gun and makes it stand out more on my body when concealed. So discarding the brace and making the whole gun less than 16" and about an inch thick is awesome. When you push out...

Kuna Competition? Meet the Taurus RPC 9mm PDW

With a tensioned sling you can create a third point of contact and utilize a larger rifle optic. So-called "SAS style". I feel confident I can shoot 25-100 yds with the Kuna on a sling but I'd be really stretching my abilities at that distance with a regular handgun. Plus 30 round mags and a...

Kuna Competition? Meet the Taurus RPC 9mm PDW

I'll take a Kuna or MP5K. I think the benefit of these guns is their small size and not having a brace on these guns can make them *tiny* compared to the St. Victor and it's mandatory buffer tube/brace. For vehicle guns or concealed PDWs, roller delay really makes all the difference. I can...

    Newbie First Time Buyer

By indexing, I mean in the same position every time so your draw is the same every time. If you can wear a belt with all your clothes, it's not a huge deal but if you like basketball shorts or sweat pants or are a woman etc that don't have belt loops commonly, an enigma helps greatly with indexing.

    Newbie First Time Buyer

Yep. I have the holster drawer AND the stomach callouses from wearing shitty setups while figuring it out. It's absolutely a process and requires tuning. And sometimes what sucks out of the box, is your dream setup when tuned. CCW is a commitment to be sure. When it comes to tuning don't be...

    Newbie First Time Buyer

Holsters are super personal and there is no wrong answer, just the one that works for you. But my preferred carry method as of late has been a PHLSTER Enigma. It can be worn with *anything* and is completely clothing agnostic. I am big on indexing and ensuring things are in the same spot for...

Another trip to the range with the HellCat Pro

My only hesitation with modifications on a carry pistol trigger are safety related. I don't want to defeat the safety systems or make the trigger too light that it somehow goes bang unintentionally. I know most kits don't do that but it's definitely the reason I have not touched my carry...

Another trip to the range with the HellCat Pro

Hogues are a pain in the *** to install but absolutely worth the trouble. I've got one on my Shield X and it went from 9/10 to 10/10 grip. It's also more comfortable to carry with the Hogue. Less irritating than textured plastic. I've got one on order for my BG2.0 as well.

    First Look: Echelon Alpha 4.0C

I will say those echelons are handsome pistols. Honestly maybe the best looking striker fired handgun in my completely subjective opinion.

Kuna Competition? Meet the Taurus RPC 9mm PDW

Those were definitely a different breed and a different mindset when being made. I'd absolutely carry one of them as well but A. I don't have anything that expensive currently lol and B. The price bracket they compete in is much more saturated now. I'd have a hard time choosing between say...

Kuna Competition? Meet the Taurus RPC 9mm PDW

Now that reviews are trickling out, I think it would be hard to choose an RPC over a Kuna, Stribog or even a nice ARP like the victor. I've had zero issues with my Kuna and it's become one of my most carried firearms. Vehicle gun, bag gun and even concealed. Such a shame for Taurus to miss...

What’s In Your Pocket? Keep Your EDC Realistic

I love how leather wears in and develops a nice patina as it ages. It seems so personal. I want an enigma with a leather holster component so bad.
