The only point I know of is it's cheaper than brass.

Bit the bullet and went color laser about 12 years ago, and the printer (Brother) is still going strong. The up front cost hurts but toner doesn't dry out and the cost per page is lower than I ever got with any inkjet.

I have this holster and I made my own wedge of sorts, because the manufacturer doesn't offer one (or didn't when I bought mine). So heavy duty velcro tape and part of a gel shoe insole make a serviceable wedge. I think it helps to keep the beaver tail tucked in closer.
