    Anybody carrying a 5.7?

My understanding is that the "good stuff" is restricted from the civilian market. If that's true, then the whole discussion becomes a moot point.

    Red Dot Float

These things are pretty cool. Have the on a Glock G17 and G35. Very different than the other dots, but sure work well for target work (GSSF indoor matches). Added plus is that it functions as a ghost ring if your battery takes a hike. No way would you want one on a carry gun. No shake awake...

    Daffy Zone…..

It is interesting what society deems sexy or attractive in a woman has changed over my lifetime. It seems every decade has redefined female beauty. Beautiful women in the 60's different from those of the 70's and 80's. I have even heard the girls of the 80's referred to as fat. To each his...

    Echelon 4.0C - Should I?

There's not a lot to bash on the Echelon (save the name, perhaps). Optics ready, really good grip texture, shoots well. Some don't cotton to the rear sight, but I prefer it to a rectangle or a blacked out rear. You can certainly buy a lot less pistol for more mmoney. If you get extea mags in...

    How many remember……

Easy now. The Security Six is probably the best revolver ever to come out of that company. Tremendous lines, balance, accuracy and durability. Always wanted a Dan Wesson but they were too far out of my financial reach back in the day. AMT Hardballer was interesting. Kinda like the Automag...

Illinois Set to Tighten the Screws on Gun Owners on January 1

Wonder if the proponents of this are using the tired and trite "if it saves one life" argument. Naturally, if having access to a firearm might save a life they will ignore that rationale. Am I missing something? Why do asinine laws like this presume that gun owners are overwhelmingly...

    New Year's Resolutions

Knowing that I won't keep any leads me to make none. My only thing that would resemble a resolution is to trust God in everything.

3 Myths About Handgun Stopping Power

    crazy prices on used guns

Yeah, and how many of us would have bought cases of SKS rifles back in the day if we could have predicted the appreciation. Or AKs? Or even 7.62 x 39 ammo? Have a friend who bemoans that bricks of . 22LR don't cost what they did when he was a kid. For some reason gasoline, groceries don't get...

Curious how much my ammo is worth?

Around our neck of the woods $65-$70 for the lot retail. 9mm FMJ currently is around $15 a box of 50, the defensive stuff runs between .75¢-$1.00 a round. I have seen some people wanting $25-$30 a box for 9mm FMJ recently, though.

    Glock Gen 6

Glock is already there. GPT is a prime example. Then again, if you buy from them it's acceptable under GSSF rules in most cases.

    Glock Gen 6

I read that the Gen 6 will have three different types of trigger options. Would be great if you could buy one from the factory with each of the variants installed, kinda like options on a car. Don't expect that to happen. Would cut into the aftermarket sales.

    Time to redefine terms

The term "gun control" needs to disappear from all discussions relating to firearms in general, and the second amendment in particular. What those who push this agenda want is confiscation and restriction. We need to make certain this is made clear during any debate on the subject. Some will...

Glock: When The Bough Doth Break, The Cradle Will Fall

Love them or hate them, it looks like Glock made a pragmatic decision they believe is in their best long term financial interest. From what I understand, they consider their primary customer base to be LE and military contracts. If that's true, they really don't give a rip about civilians in...
