Home Defense Basics: A Beginner's Guide

Being prepared is the first step, to hopefully a successful outcome, which is being around tomorrow.

Smith and Wesson MP 9 2.0

I prefer shooting 1911's so the M&P 2.0s work great for me since both have 18* grip angles. Been very lucky and really no mechanical issues. When it comes to Polymer guns the M&P is a clear winner for me

Well way back I was known to frequent The Wild Wild West, Silver Dollar Saloon, Yellow Rose Saloon, The Forum Club and one that was on Bus 59 for my music and dance. Glad to hear the area has polished up a bit ;)

Smith and Wesson MP 9 2.0

TRUGLO are the sights I use and Holosuns are the optics I use. I have guns that had the optic mounted after the night sights had been installed. I am new to the optic game.

Too Much Fun at the Range

Absolutely hate sharing targets with complete strangers

Smith and Wesson MP 9 2.0

I personally own 11 M&P 2.0's from the Shield + to the Full Comped 10mm and have zero complaints. Best part is they will digest any round I have ran through them. Enjoy the new purchase, Shoot Safe and Shoot Often

Ayoob: Is .45 Still Better Than 9mm?

I would imagine internet hype, affordability, ease of carry, and capacity are the factors many use to choose their carry weapon. Ballistic performance doesn't truly register

    More magazine capacity

I would have handled the situations exactly the same way. I'm prepared to use force but will use it as the situation dictates.

My Goodness. My Creedo for Quite Some Time.

    The difference

I wouldn't use the same phrasing (next to last line) in a forum post. I also make an effort to not be judgemental of others, although I do fail. That's what I was trying to say in #11

If I get a pause in the action my Chicken*** is making vacate maneuvers

    The difference

I wonder if the female members realized the sarcasm? So they have a different view, support your view and let them support theirs, without ridicule.

    The difference

This has nothing to do with your original post. This is your opinion for an after the fact action. Can't imagine thinking this way about people.

    The difference

I think most gun free folks feel the local LE will handle the issue. Others can't Morally deal with the idea of taking a life.

The truth about deadly force encounters

In previous training I experienced the BG won almost every time. The fact the BGs know when they are going to act put the Officer at a disadvantage. The daily double was winning when in the role as the BG then winning when the Officer.

    ConcealedCarry attire

Spot on. I spent the last 3 days at the Houston Medical Complex walking to and from the Hospital wearing shorts, t shirts and carrying my 4.25" TRP which 6 months ago I couldn't imagine. I learned with the right setup you can wear anything and carry anything.
