Yes, this is the issue I run into at some of my firearm stores. I have been told by numerous individuals to "Buy American Made" the minute I ask about a SAR or Girsan, some of these guys roll their eyes at me like I am the worst customer ever.

Good point, I feel though when you have a lower income and want a budget pistol because that's all you can afford we shouldn't look down on that. Talking to many people, most want to learn to shoot and get proper training, but many feel like the "Good guns" are out of reach because of price...

Yes well said. Maintaining your firearm and cleaning is of upmost importance. I love field striping my firearms, it's very therapeutic to me, just enjoying the cleaning really helps me relax. I also admire the craftmanship and the work that goes into the designing the firearm too.

Yes before I purchased my firearms I researched and looked up the information on the companies. Springfield does have a good track record for 1911s so that's why I went with them.
