For you 1911 guys how many mags do you carry?

When I am out and about I only carry one spare mag or speed strip woth wheelguns no matter what it is. When I am on duty in uniform I run 2 spare mags but am contemplating going to one extra woth a cuff mag pouch combo as I am not manic many arrests in schools 3 on 3 years and any active...

    Discuss the SA-35

Not sure if your grip preference but I find that a revolver or crushed grip does away with hammer bite on Browning Hi Power or the like. Thumbs forward seems to increase it while hand side can vary.

    Discuss the SA-35

The issue with making it a larger caliber is beefing up everything will nae a huge difference to the looks. The 9mm is about as prefect blend of weight and balance there is especially when you look at the fact 1935 was a long time ago. The 40 cal was not the same feel as the 9mm so I couldn’t...

Why do the 17 rd mags rattle

Every once in a while. Sometimes the rounds don’t stack up as tight thwre is no change in reliability if you take one out it should stop if it bugs you that much 15 or 17 isn’t going to make or break anyone that’s ever been documented this side of Faluja

First M16 Rifles in the Vietnam War

While true almost every piece of military gear gets oversold I would put some blame of Troops as well. Many bent barrels using them to torque “open” the bands on C Rats and ammo pallets. We all have seen this. You leave some folks (especially Military and Corrections) alone for 5 minutes with...

    9mm garrison

Probably have to get it cut and installed. Springfield use to offer the Range Officer line of the past was probably the best priced 1911 that worked with nice Bo Mar type adjustable target sights. Perhaps SA will offer a Garrison version of that at some point

First M16 Rifles in the Vietnam War

That is a great observation and point. I will add the slower twist rate is what lead to the bullet being unstable and yha whole “tumbling” was a byproduct not so MF a by design. New round they had some learning left to do. While most here know this I explained the twist rate with the early...

Hegseth Move Will Allow Service Members To Carry Personal Firearms On Military Bases

My understanding is if a commander denies anyone they (the Commander’s) habe to make a case justifying why not and it has to fit into Hegseth criteria for the commanders to say no unlike enforcing their whim today. I have watched a lot of arguing on FB about how bad things will increase and...

    The SIg Controversy

Other than the stigma and national programs not allowing it? Like I said no matter what side of the street anyone is on 310 fokks are not getting int many venues with them and that’s probably not going to change for a long time!

    The SIg Controversy

There is nothing wrong with 22X series Sig’s I have a 226 Legion I carry sometimes and ran a 228 and 220 for several years as a duty gun

    The SIg Controversy

The Sig debacle is more yha “Glock leg” Glocl leg happened whem hamds were on the gun drawing or holstering. There is enough video of Sig 320’s going off completely seated in hoisters with officers simply standing or walking. But the smooth brain peolme want to relate it to user error. While...

Secretary of War to allow Military to carry personal guns on base

It sounds like they (the commanders) have a choice AND if they feel they want to impose ther will they better have a good rwason to justify it and that decision is above them. All that said I hope it extends to civilian employees my son in law js a Hs 14 had a top secret clearance and works on...

I want to be the first to congratulate her on her new position….a paid Fox News anchor, Lord knows she spent enough time there giving opinions which not really ever seem from any other US AG outside an occasional interview. She was in there 2/3 times a freaking week. Good luck to her

Why Seattle needs to follow 2A

I frequent Seattle as my son is tied thwre with child custody issues (fortunately he works in Alaska quite a bit but I am concerned for my Grandson) The issue with Seattle is the cancer of California spread up I 5 several years ago. They have been voting in draconian gun laws and as of next...
