    Appendix Carry

I don't have much to add about apex carry as it is not my carry fashion. I will share some past experience that might be of some value. My first handgun was a colt gold cup 45acp and I shot it alot. A year later I became a police officer and was required to carry a 38 caliber revolver. I...

Range Report: NGD, Shakedown Session w/Ronin, 3/28/25

I've had 9mm Ronin lightweight for a while and have 750 rounds or so from it without a failure to feed or eject. I've shot Remington, Winchester, Federal, and Monarch ammo, all brass. I sure wouldn't mind having the 5" with the adjustable sights for range days.

Let me know: Ronin Range Officer 5" 9mm

I have the Ronin 9mm light weight. It's a great pistol. The only thing I did was soften up the edges of the thumb and grip safeties, they were a bit sharp. Mine came with a pretty nice trigger pull, no complaints there.

Transforming your existing qualification into an unlimited skill assessment

Training is like use of force. It must be objective and reasonable. If it meets the criteria, it's good from whomever.

Transforming your existing qualification into an unlimited skill assessment

Someone bought a handgun and then protected themselves with it a few days later. Murphy was napping!

Thought Y’All Might Enjoy Some Science Fiction

Who's to say what's on the mind of a criminal who would break into a person's home to steal or to rob. Is a person supposed to inquire as to the determination of a criminal before using force. Is a person supposed to ask if the criminal is going to cause harm if they don't resist. And all to...

Thought Y’All Might Enjoy Some Science Fiction

8000 people with 3000 gun owners is not a statistically valid sampling for such dramatic conclusions.

Thought Y’All Might Enjoy Some Science Fiction

Did I read that correctly, for their statistics hearing gunshots in your neighborhood is counted as being exposed to gun violence?

    Going back to the beginning

The SA-35 is a nice pistol. I think you'll like it. I sure like mine. A 9mm was the first pistol for me to shoot. It was a Walther P-38 left to me by my grandfather who got it from one of his cousins that was in the 82nd Airborne WW II. I first shot it when I was 10 yrs. old some 57 years...

The Glock 17: The Gun That Started It All

I've found Glocks to generally be soft shooting. But I have a Glock 43, it is one of the most uncomfortable guns to shoot I've owned. I tried to trade it for a sig but the manager wouldn't do the trade, said he couldn't sell it. On the same hand, the Gen 4 Model 17 is a very easy shooter...

Bear Attacks Man, Saved By Neighbor with a 45 ACP Pistol

The question was how would you react? The guy with the gun was just standing on his drive way when the bear attacked. He came forward with what he was carrying and took care of business. In my case that also would of been confronting the bear with what I was carrying which would of been a 9mm...

Bear Attacks Man, Saved By Neighbor with a 45 ACP Pistol

I would hope repeated shots from a 9mm with 124gr +p+ hollow points would stop a rabid bear.

Guess I'll share my video with you guys and gals. TASER Hit.

I was a Taser instructor for my department and I've seen Tasers work and I have seen them fail. The failures could usually be attributed to operator error. By error I mean they didn't deploy the Taser properly as in insufficient spread of the darts, didn't take clothing into account, or...
