    I hate spendjng the money but, those tires are 26 years old and the tread is down to about 25%. I knew it was time when I couldn't get traction going uphill pulling a bush hog. Plus I got leaks.

    10 y.o. Granddaughter is here, she's going to school orientation/meet the teacher with Nana today. Cogon grass sprayers are in the pines. I have to load the tractor on the trailer and haul it to the tire shop for new tires. Busy day.

    The total number of rounds expended is misleading. Accounting for training ammo, ammo given to allies, ammo expended in recon by fire, ammo fired from miniguns, only a small percentage of the total is fired by troops in contact with the enemy.

    I think better comms, BODY armor, SWAT teams, patrol rifles, and better training have kept the numbers down quite a bit. Car crashes kill a lot of cops and we could do a whole lot better with that.

    Post shooting statements from officers often show the officer thought he fired X number but they actually fired more than they thought.

    Yes as new guys you got rated by your fellow officers for your ability to thump a crook into submission. I saw my slapper and sap gloves and PR24 as essential tools of the trade. A vigorous donnybrook was good for morale.
