Well, like all good ideas there are issues. The plug that goes into the buffer tube hole retards the bolt about 3/8" of an inch. So I have 3 options 1 cut the bolt down, 2 mill out the plug without remove the threads that are for attachment of the 1913 end plate, 3 scrap the whole project 🤣

Okay it's together. Now the real work begins. Making it work correctly. Finding the correct weight recoil spring, adjusting the mag converter. Polishing the feed ramp. The little stuff, that makes them work.

Blemished upper receivers and handguards. They work fine and if there was a major finish issue, I would simply strip it down and cerekote them.

I have bought blemished parts ;ie AR parts uppers, lowers, handguards. Everything except barrels, the criteria on blem barrels is different.
