Yes, the SA-35 just has the one thumb safety. I believe they did a great job with it too. Best designed safety lever I've ever seen on any Hi-Power. (y) Pocket carry? The SA-35 is a full sized, double stack service pistol. I don't think anybody makes pockets that big. :oops:

Walter Birdsong was fairly well known in the South. He invented the Black-T teflon gun finish which was quite popular for being extremely tough. Its a shame when the death of a family member leads to such anger. But it happens quite often. :(

If they'd add adjustable sights, I'd be interested.

Not much I can add. But I do agree to buy bigger than you think you need. You will find ways to fill it. ;) I also prefer mechanical dial locks over electronic.

That may be true of the J-frame. S&W has made many refinements in the design over the years. But the hammer, trigger, cylinder and timing mechanism is still pretty much as it was over 100 years ago.

He was scared and just kept pulling the trigger. Nuff said.

The basic S&W revolver design hasn't changed much since 1899. Lots of folks carry them every day. ;)

Depends entirely on the type of handgun. I've been collecting S&W revolvers for about 50 years now. They're my favorite wheelguns. 1911s - Colt with Springfield a close second. DA/SA semi-autos - Sig Sauer. I don't do plastic.

That was the intent of the founders. The federal government was only to deal with the issues of the nation while the states pretty much took care of themselves. Sure ain't like that now. :mad:

I think it will depend entirely on the strength and duration of the event. A relatively short, weak EMP may do little or no damage. However a powerful, long duration event could fry everything. Most likely, if we get hit, it'll be somewhere in the middle. Older cars aren't necessarily immune. A...

In today's world I think its prudent to keep extra food, water, medical supplies and yes, ammo on hand in the event of bad weather, extended power outages, civil unrest and such. But a total EOTWAWKI event, we're all just screwed. :rolleyes:

I come from a time before all this fancy stuff and vertical foregrips. I was taught the old 7 O'clock and still use it. Anything else just doesn't feel right after all these years. ;) I have tried a couple of vertical foregrips and they just didn't work for me. C-clamp- NOPE! Uncomfortable for...
