A clear and accurate depiction of an "old west" tactical reload...

O would say the FBI/Miami and the Bank of America shootout (BOA LAPD did employee skne K38’s trying head shots from theor PPC team) is an exception to everyday police shootings in the wheelgun days! https://www.latimes.com/news/la-me-1997bank_robbery-pg-photogallery.html

A clear and accurate depiction of an "old west" tactical reload...

On a somewhat related note this reminds me (although I never forgot as I do a lot with Wheelguns to this day) I was exposed to Wheelguns in the AF yjen as a municipal LEO in 1990 and it was “normal” to have speedloaders on your belt in your bag and even in the pockets of ykur patrol car. So...

    Smaller Guns for Defense?

Something that Clint Smith said one time is spot on (like most of what he says) Guns are suppose to be “Comforting” not “Comfortable” Of course this was before the mindset and em and for minute 15-17 shot 9mm and 380’s took off. I still hold Clint’s view as practice as the smallest guns I...

    Battle of Alcatraz May 2nd 3rd and 4th 1946

Today marks the 80th anniversary of the start of the battle of Alcatraz. While current crime trends get a lot of attention of being “violent” the majority of staff killed in the Federal Bureau of Prisons happened the first half of the 20th century. Places like USP Leavenworth, USP Atlanta and...

Ain't that the way of it?

I wish the 38 Super was more popular as it’s a great round. Just seems that the 124gr 9mm at 1,200 fps is hard to beat in both 1911’s and any number of double stack guns these days. 38 Super is still a great round though

it took nearly 50 years to put him down

The bigger cost on a death row inmate isn’t housing or feeding but the increased legal scrutiny and appeals and most don’t get to do it by Zoom which incurs manning to go to and from court. In the Federal system it usually means travel back to whichever US Court district and BOP and US...

    Smaller Guns for Defense?

Darryl Bolke is a national treasure and a wealth of knowledge. Glad I can call him a friend. Trained under him several times.

    Unintended Range Time

I get that however when there is a fence between can be hard to articulate it. Also if your 110% justified then shoot the dog if you must. However (if feasible) With OC it does far better results with little to no consequences for the person criminally or civilly. Especially through a fence...

    Unintended Range Time

Respectfully, OC is a better option than shooting warning shots. Living in the country or not warning shots are often considered lethal force in most states and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon (or similar wording) in most

    Get ‘Em While They’re Hot

I started in the revolver days and if we didn’t get it done in 6 we were dead or seriously injured. We had a 4” wheelgun and a snub as a backup and maybe a shotgun woth 4 rounds of #4 and the only less lethal was a baton and Sap! They were great days though

    10mm

While some have shot 40 in 10mm hih shouldn’t do it. Several of us use to drive with no seat belts and hunt from tree stands with no safety harness with no issues but doesn’t mean we should!

    Get ‘Em While They’re Hot

For those that mention not carrying an expensive gun for fear of being sieges in an investigation. My bigger worry (just in my situation) is I ravel a lot by airlines and I am more concerned with baggage issues of being lost or stolen. So for that reason I usually carry something that I can...

    Get ‘Em While They’re Hot

LOL hardly. I never said Staccatos weren’t good shooting guns, I just get a laugh at everyone chairing cyclic split times and relate it to a must have for personal protection. You can’t assess that shots 2,3 or 5 are legal at as fast as a lot of folks want to shoot with cyclic split times...

    Get ‘Em While They’re Hot

I’d take a M&P, Springfield or Glock and several cases of ammo and a few courses to include Gunsite than to get a Staccato. But good luck to anyone that wants to try and buy skill!

MP7 Personal Defense Weapon Just Went Viral In Hands Of Tailored-Suit Wearing Agent

Others have already answered but It was on Mr Gunsandgears FB Page. The backstory Reagan was holding at Augusta where the masters is held in 1983 and agents dressed as casual golfers. A threat appears (this was 2 years after Hinkley tried to assassinate him almost successfully) so I am sure they...

MP7 Personal Defense Weapon Just Went Viral In Hands Of Tailored-Suit Wearing Agent

They might be cool with the MP7 but nowhere near as cool as Reagan Secret Service Agents rocking Uzi’s when a threat happened in 1983 while Reagan was playing Golf in Augusta Georgia (And the MP7 is overrated MP5 all day over that!)

    Sig 320 discharges

As a retired LE trainer (both FLETC and a state academy) I won’t say ykur wrong as that’s usually the first excuse by a lot of folks. That said at depose dive while I saw my share of AD’s in the military with a DA first pull of an M9 as well as an agency Beretta 92 DAO those usually involved...

    Sig 320 discharges

I am involved in the training industry and thwre are skne 320 fans that have invested their ego in that platform and are prepared to die in that hill. A state forum I am on there are some outright denial on not just if guns go off but that thwre is a rift when as of now you can’t use a 320 at...
